WWE and TNA's Hardcore Legend Mick Foley Auctions off Mr Socko for Charity

Carrie DunnMay 5, 2011

Over the past six weeks, I have had the pleasure and honour of corresponding with Mick Foley.

Name dropper, I know. The thing is, I knew he was a great performer, a great promo man and a great writer—but he's also a good person (so good he's even mildly scolded me when my tweets stray into unfairly mean territory).

I digress. Foley is on the board of RAINN, Tori Amos's charity that works to end sexual violence and support survivors. He is also a volunteer, and last month, he launched a campaign to raise $10,000 for RAINN, promoting it mostly via Twitter.

He wanted it to be a way of showing the good the pro-wrestling community can do. Thanks to donations from fans, followers, TNA, WWE and sports entertainers, Foley raised 10 times that.

And now he's auctioning off some fantastic memorabilia to make even more. Fancy owning the shirt Foley wore in the classic Hell in a Cell match versus the Undertaker? It can be yours. Or you'd like the original Mr Socko? You can bid on that too. Or why not fork out a bit more for the Cactus Jack boots? They're on auction too.

He admits: "I love these things, but I want you to have them, and I want them to serve as a sign of how much this campaign, this group, and this cause mean to me."

Show your support for Mick and his work by bidding on his eBay auction. It closes on May 11th.
