WWE: Should Triple H Have One More Run and Then Have a Proper Retirement?

Triple H has been so busy with his new duties as head of talent development that he has been seen on WWE TV only a few times in the last year.

His highly touted WrestleMania match with The Undertaker left some wondering what the King of Kings future plans were inside the ring.  Triple H has not officially retired, but he is no longer an active competitor.

He recently said in an interview that he considers himself more of an attraction wrestler now, someone who is only used sparingly for certain events.

With his climbing age, numerous injuries, multiple children, and new position, it's no surprise he has no time to wrestle.  Which is sad because he has been a reliable in ring talent for well over a decade, and now we may not get to see him break Ric Flair's world title record like so many thought he would.

Hunter is being groomed to take some of Vince McMahon's responsibilities when the CEO decides to retire and hand the reigns over. 

Triple H needs one more good run simply so he can have a proper retirement and give the fans something special.  When a wrestler simply fades away and is never heard from again, the fans are left with an incomplete feeling.

Shawn Michaels did things the right way by having a well publicized retirement so fans knew what to expect.  Hunter needs to come back to Raw for three or four months, have one last feud, and then finally retire so he can focus on his future with the organization.

His current pet project has been Sin Cara.  Triple H has been heavily influencing Cara's push and has been said to be very nervous about what will happen with the Mexican superstar.

With his new roll in talent development, he will be in charge of introducing new superstars to the WWE audience.  He has been a big fan of vignettes and teasers to get fans excitement level up before a person debuts, rather than just having someone show up out of nowhere.

Granted, the surprise debut works too, Mason Ryan exploded onto Raw during one match with CM Punk and he had everyone talking about it the next day.

Kharma has had a steady debut with weeks of videos and post match attacks before she has even wrestled a match in a WWE ring.

Triple H will be good at the talent development, I have no doubt about that, but what he needs to do is give the fans one more good run.

Retiring doesn't always mean he couldn't come back once a year for a few years for a match like Hogan did with WWE for awhile.  That way he could focus on the corporate side of things and still help inside the ring once in awhile.

I am a big fan of Triple H and always have been.  I never cared about the reports I have seen about him burying other people or being too controlling, because frankly, that's what he had to do to get where he is. 

Wrestling is a dog eat dog business, and while the athletes take care of each other in the ring, that's not to say they don't stab them in the back the minute the curtain is closed.

Do I support these kinds of things? No.  Do I understand them? Yes.

Hunter became a top star before he got with Stephanie McMahon, so no one can say his push is strictly due to his relationship with Vince's daughter. 

I say Triple H has one last good feud with one of the new guys he is trying to push and helps get them over before he decides to hang up the boots for good.
