Question Marks…

Cherepanov…  How terrible this story is.  And as more unfolds, the hockey world is learning that this could’ve been avoided perhaps?  I’d be very appalled to find out that due to negligence during the game he collapsed, he died.  When I hear stories like this I can’t imagine how organizations and fans out there feel.  Imagine if Filatov or Voracek had passed during their development.  I wonder how fans from Vancouver feel about Bourdon’s death. Let’s hope the Rangers can move on because this kid was going to be quite a player if he had ever made to the NHL. Now onto the CBJ… How will the CBJ perform tonight against the undefeated sharks.  It should be interesting to see how they play against Shelley.  I’m not so sure how the boys will do in this game.  The sharks have had an impressive defensive effort in their first three games, allowing only two goals.  The jackets offense is still very much a work in progress with two rookies and a checking winger leading the effort up front.  I think they could hold up for a couple periods, but they risk getting dominated in the neutral zone and their own end.  They’ll need to move the puck well, and the special teams will need to be sharp.  They definitely can’t take the amount of penalties they did against the coyotes.  So it should be a good game, and who knows… Maybe you’ll have a good reason to stay up for the whole thing? Peca’s hearing is on thursday.  I will be interested to see how the results of this turn out.  I won’t believe if he gets the full sentence that the media has been discussing since the “incident.”  This was clearly a trip on the Dallas player, and hopefully given Mike’s record, they’ll rule this as fair as possible.  I am excited as Mason is gearing up for playing for Syracuse.  If this guy has as good a season as he can, the crunch are going to be a very decent team in the AHL.  They have a very good lineup to put against really any team down there. See you all on the flipside, and hopefully we can put some pucks in the back of the net, and grab another W. 2-1 on the roadtrip wouldn’t be a bad idea now would it…
