Manny Pacquiao Signs a Million Dollar-Plus Deal with Hewlett-Packard Campaign

According to a press release by Bill King of Sports Business Journal,  Manny Pacquiao has now signed a million dollar-plus deal with the computer corporation Hewlett-Packard.

HP has selected the No. 1 boxer in the world to be in their recently released tablet computer campaign.

The campaign ad which includes television, print, radio and billboards, will feature high profile athletes and celebrities that will be promoted globally.

Top Rank who promotes Pacquiao, has taken over much of the management side of the fighter's endorsements and advertising affairs outside of the Philippines with the top Hollywood agency William Morris.

Pacquiao may have lost out on major endorsement deals in the past, for many people from his entourage claimed to be in charge of his commercial representation, causing much confusion among the corporations wanting to sign him and ultimately being deterred away.

Pacquiao has also signed a deal with a San Antonio based vegetable company called "Pacquiao's Produce" that distributes to restaurants throughout the United States. Pacquiao's face will appear on bags, boxes and delivery trucks.

Hewlett-Packard has not released an official estimate of the endorsement, but Pacquiao should receive HP products, funding towards the charities of his choice, and a million-plus net annually.

Now that Top Rank has taken over and organized Pacquiao's American commercial representation and teamed up with one of the biggest agencies in Hollywood, I have a feeling Pacquiao will be seen everywhere whether you are a fan of his or not. Maybe the Justin Bieber haircut is far more powerful than we thought?
