NFL Offseason 2011: Kyle Orton to the Redskins and Other QB Rumors
With the NFL draft over it is time to focus on free agency. Currently the NFL lockout has a stranglehold on the free agents as players are not allowed to switch teams until the lockout is lifted.
This leaves several teams and players in limbo as they wait for the lockout to end. This does not mean that there is no buzz on where the quarterbacks in the 2011 free-agent class may end up.
Here are the latest rumors on free-agent field generals in the NFL.
Kyle Orton Traded to Washington

ESPN AFC West blogger Bill Williamson was the latest to reveal an interesting trade rumor involving the Denver Broncos and the Washington Redskins. Williamson has heard rumors that there is a possibility the Redskins could trade Albert Haynesworth for Kyle Orton.
The trade makes sense as far as the positions are concerned. The Redskins need a quarterback and Orton could work, but would the Broncos be willing to pay Haynesworth and introduce a potential cancer into the locker room?
They might because the Broncos need help on defense and ESPN's Ed Werder has quoted John Elway as saying, "I think where we are as an organization, we are going with Tim."
Redskins Happy with Beck

The Redskins did not draft a quarterback in the 2011 draft and that would indicate they may be buyers in the free-agent market, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter disagrees. Schefter took to twitter to announce that the Redskins could have John Beck under center on opening day.
Beck has not shown much in his chances to play but this could be another chance to prove his worth in the league.
Marc Bulger in Arizona—Done deal?

Marc Bulger cannot sign with the Cardinals during the lockout, but once it is lifted signs point to Bulger being a Cardinal.
Len Pasquarelli of the Sports Xchange believes that there is already an understanding between the two parties.
Cardinals general manager Rod Graves and head coach Ken Whisenhunt played coy when asked about the possibility of Bulger playing in Arizona, but were grinning from ear to ear.
Matt Hasselbeck Done in Seattle

After watching the draft it is apparent that Matt Hasselbeck has played his last game for the Seattle Seahawks. Sports Illustrated’s Peter King took to Twitter and proclaimed the following: "[Trent Dilfer] on ESPN: 'Matthew Hasselbeck is not going back' to Seattle."
Once the lockout is lifted Hasselbeck will be a free agent and plenty of teams should give him a look.
Kevin Kolb Projected Suitors

PhiladelphiaEagles.com runs down a list of potential teams that could be interested in Kolb. One of the more interesting destinations is Seattle.
Pete Carroll was interested in Kolb when he first came to the NFL, and he may want to make a big splash in free agency after a mediocre draft.
Donovan McNabb Still Going North?
6 of 6
The Donovan McNabb rumors to the Vikings are still swirling although the Vikings drafted Christian Ponder as their quarterback of the future. Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel insists that the move is even more likely.
McNabb could be a mentor to Ponder, but it will be interesting to see if the Redskins will be able to trade him or if they will just release him.
If we have a football season the free-agent season could produce some surprising results.
