Kevin Kolb: Philadelphia Eagles Fans May See Him in Midnight Green Next Year
During the draft last night, many teams that were in need of a quarterback took their chosen quarterback off the draft boards early.
The Carolina Panthers took Cam Newton off the board as the first pick in the NFL draft and the first quarterback chosen overall.
Things got interesting when Jake Locker was taken off the board by the Tennessee Titans before Blaine Gabbert and earlier than anticipated. Gabbert was the next quarterback chosen, as he went to the Jacksonville Jaguars to compete with David Garrard for the starting position.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Next, the Minnesota Vikings chose Christian Ponder to try to add a spark to that franchise and lead the Vikings in the right direction.
With the uncertainty of the salary cap and free agency, many teams have the choice to choose a quarterback in the draft that they believe will benefit their franchise.
Kevin Kolb was projected to be worthy of a first-round pick and was on the radar for many teams. But unfortunately, the NFL lockout may have swung much of the attention away from teams calling to try to obtain Kolb, to teams drafting a quarterback that is a guarantee.
The Philadelphia Eagles were in discussion with many teams who were interested in Kolb before the lockout, one of them supposedly being the Arizona Cardinals. Whether the Cardinals or any other team is still interested in making Kolb their franchise quarterback is yet to be seen, but it is safe to say that the lockout has affected Kolb's future plans.
There are still various quarterbacks available, two of them being Ryan Mallett of Arkansas and Andy Dalton of TCU. Both quarterbacks have the potential to start in the National Football League. Teams such as the Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals, who are still in need of a quarterback, have the opportunity of focusing on what they have control over “right now”, and that’s getting a guaranteed QB instead of waiting for free agency to eventually begin.
As teams continue to draft quarterbacks, Kolb's value to other teams diminishes, and the likelihood of him returning to Philadelphia Eagles increases.
