The Best Celebrations In Sports

Throughout the annals of history, the world of sports has given us some of the best celebrations known to mankind.

These include the notorious touchdown celebrations in the NFL, walk off home runs, great goals in the NHL and of course all of the crazy shenanigans that go on after a goal in soccer.

Sports has everything to offer the average fan of the celebration, which is everybody, I’m assuming.

If not, go to your doctor and they will prescribe you a medication that will make you feel good while sitting in a bathtub on the beach, but it will kill you with any one of its 200 deathly side effects.

But seriously, life can get crazy sometimes, believe me I know, and even the world of sports can offer some tense moments.

So, let’s all sit back and celebrate good times…come on!

The best celebrations in sports:

25. The Lady Gaga

Honestly, I feel like anything goes after you score a goal in soccer.

“Hey! Let’s bump some Lady Gaga after we score a goal and I’ll wear this wig and dance!”

Right on, man!

Only in soccer…

24. The Tennis Celebration

Tennis is the only sport in the history of mankind where lying down is good.

Well, not counting competitive sleeping as a sport in this example…

23. The O Canada

In Canada, this is their version of a touchdown celebration.

22. The Hot Stick

Alex Ovechkin is one heck of a hockey player.

So much so that when he really starts feeling it, his stick will catch on fire!

The best part is his explanation at the end.

All I could understand was the word stick...

21. The Nate Robinson

I know that Nate Robinson was excited here, but really, man?

19. The Kid

Give me a break!

This kid is eight and he’s breaking it down better than half the hotshots in the NFL!

Hey, in college this would be a 54-yard penalty and a loss of scholarship.

18. The Epic Fail

Best thing ever!

17. The Super Bowl Shuffle

Okay, so I couldn’t find the original video.  I’m sure it’s copyrighted and protected by at least a thousand lawyers, and Bleacher Report has given me enough of a budget to go get a Slurpee later if I’m lucky.

So, I found the worst possible remake of it possible.

I don’t think many people appreciate the skill involved in this!

This was Wall’s first time in front of the home fans!

For those of you who never understood why the heck Chad Johnson’s last name became Ocho Cinco…

13. The Moon

Randy Moss figured that the best thing to do in this situation was to fake pulling down his pants.

Apparently, Brett Favre remembered this move in New York.

Except he forgot about the whole faking it part…

12. The Run Away

Honestly this is one of my favorite moments in sports.

Not because of Derek Fisher’s shot, but because of the way he left the court.

He ran off like Bruce Bowen put laxatives in his Gatorade.

11. The Hand Grenade

How long do you think these guys rehearsed the timing of this celebration after practices?

Secretly I think they all wanted to be choreographers, so soccer player was the next logical step.

10. The Rocky

This guy was obviously watching the Rocky marathon on the cable channel.

To be frank, this is actually a very sweet celebration.

Don’t know where the heck the sound effects came from though, and can we all agree that the announcer couldn't care less about what he is doing?

9. The Dallas Star

Terrell Owens has had his fair share of brash moments in the NFL, and he has never been one to shy away from the spotlight or from drama.

This celebration is pretty brash.

The best part is when he gets decked!

8. The Dance Party

What this clip doesn’t show is Shaq having multiple heart attacks once the cameras were off.

Honestly, I haven’t seen him move like this on the court since the Orlando days!

7. The Goalie

I have no idea who this guy is or where he hails from.

All I know is there is no way I would ever score on him willingly.

6. The Sports Bra

I was a young kid when I saw this happen live.

It was a great goal, but I have been scarred for life ever since watching this.

Can’t they just be banned for the good old traditional look!?

5. The Gibby

Kirk Gibson has given us a few good moments in his day.

This so happens to be one of my favorite!

The original fist pump, before those kids from Jersey Shore ruined it.

4. The Miracle on Ice

I promise you that I am almost certain this is real.

If I were the other guy this poor sap would have been on his way to the hospital with my Ping-Pong paddle down his throat about five seconds into the dance.
