WWE Extreme Rules: 5 Ways Sheamus Could Get Involved in the PPV
As of right now, Sheamus isn't going to be in WWE's next PPV, Extreme Rules. He was supposed to have a match with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania, but that turned out to be a dark match and ended up being a battle royal instead of an actual title defense.
Since I doubt he'll be left out from two PPVs in a row, as he is the US champion, here are five possible ways for him to be included in this Sunday's event.
Interfere in a Match
1 of 5
Not a very likely scenario, but as a recent draftee to SmackDown, he could let people know he's there to make an impact and could interfere in the WHC ladder match.
Backstage Segment
2 of 5
Another unlikely possibility, as the WWE likes to use the backstage segments for comedic relief, but he doesn't seem to have a problem with being mocked for his lack of pigmentation, so anything's possible.
Promo
3 of 5
A real possibility, even though most of us would not understand a word he says, he could go to the ring and cut a promo about being left out of WrestleMania and his thoughts about being drafted to Friday nights.
Have a Match/Defend the Title
4 of 5
Kind of goes with the previous one. He could be cutting a promo and be interrupted by someone or be the guy who interrupts the promo, and all of a sudden, we have an impromptu match either by itself or for the US title.
Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan for the US Title
5 of 5
This is what makes most sense and what the WWE should do. Since Sheamus and Bryan were supposed to have a match in WM, but finally didn't, they should get another opportunity in this PPV.
And since it's Extreme Rules, they could make the same arrangement that was made for their WM match, a Lumberjack match, which could also benefit the various wrestlers who won't be included in the card.
