Bob Arum of Top Rank Looking Past Mosley, Sent Proposal to Team Marquez!

It seems Bob Arum of Top Rank Boxing is looking way past Shane Mosley, as some speculation comes out of Mexico, claiming a proposal has been sent to Juan Manuel Marquez for a third fight with Manny Pacquiao.

If whoever delivered this news is falsifying it, then we have nothing new in the Marquez vs. Pacquiao story.

On the other hand, if this is indeed authentic, we just may have Pacquiao’s next fight figured and signed before he is done with Mosley.

This kind of news is patiently sitting in the backs of the minds of many boxing fans, as there is a whole army of people out there who are unsatisfied with the outcomes of the first two fights.

Marquez fans have been voicing their anger about the way one of the fights was scored, claiming their idol, “Dinamita” Marquez, deserved the win. Simultaneously, Pacquiao fans never stopped defending Manny, approving the judges’ decision.

It is hard to say what may come in between their trilogy-closing bout, but I’m sure both camps will voice some complaints. Weight will undoubtedly be an issue for both, as Pacquiao will aim to fight at a higher weight.

Still, both men are reasonable and will come to an agreement sooner rather than later. I am only hoping that Marquez does not price himself out of this fight.

I am hoping these rumors are coming from a factual place, and if Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn’t step up, we have the next best possible fight lined up for Pacquiao.
