Jeffrey McKinneyApr 25, 2011

According to the Canadian Press’ Neil Davidson, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones (13-1) will have to pull out of his fight with Rashad Evans (15-1-1).

Jones is a former teammate of Evans, stepping in for the former champ after he was injured training for a championship belt against Rua.

Since Jone’s win, both men have taken shots at each other.

Evans even left his training camp, which was lead by Greg Jackson.

Evans will have to wait once again for his title shot he earned last year as he will have to take on Phil Davis.

Davis is former Division 1 national wrestling champion for Penn State.

Davis' quick rise to fame has given him many comparisons to Jon Jones. Davis recently beat Antonio Rogerio Nogueira last month filling in for an injured Tito Ortiz.

A win for Davis could set up a championship bout between two of the UFC’s quickest rising stars.

The UFC has confirmed the news via their website and announced that the Phil Davis versus Rashad Evans fight will take place at UFC 133 in Philadelphia.
