Fantasy Football Week 6 Rankings - Defenses

This week we will be analyzing 28 defenses, as four of them; Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans all have bye-weeks. Listed below are the Bruno Boys Defensive Rankings for Week 6. Before we head into the article, I would like to explain the “Star System”.

1. (New York Giants) @ Cleveland Browns

The third best defense stats wise takes on the leagues worst offense at the moment. Is it just us, or do the New York Giants look like a great play this week? The only thing that could stop them is a return to old for the Cleveland Browns, which in all likelihood will not happen.

2. (Philadelphia Eagles) @ San Francisco 49ers 

The Philadelphia Eagles defense is pretty solid, ranking in the top 6 in the league allowing just 274 YPG. They take on a San Francisco 49ers club that has barely managed 300 YPG. As good as the Eagles rush defense usually is, barring last weeks Clinton Portis performance, the Eagles should be able to keep Frank Gore and his fellow 49ers in check.

3. (Chicago Bears) @ Atlanta Falcons

The veteran Chicago Bears defense has a lot going for them this week. First of all, they take on an inexperienced, younger group from Atlanta. Secondly, their RB Matt Forte should be able to run all over the Falcons. This is a pretty good defensive match up this week, and only one of three that earns the 5 star rating.

4. (Minnesota Vikings) vs. Detroit Lions

The Minnesota Vikings defense is not the greatest in the world, but it is solid. This week they take on the incumbent Detroit Lions. This should be a pretty good test to see exactly where the Vikings stand defensively. If they shut down the Lions receivers it will look as if the Vikings defense is better than expected. But then again, the Lions could be just that bad.

5. (Miami Dolphins) @ Houston Texans

Do you remember making fun of the Miami Dolphins last year? Ya, me too. But this year they are a brand new breed. They rank 7th overall on defense and could keep that going as they face a Houston Texans offense that is around the middle of the pack.

6. (Washington Redskins) vs. St. Louis Rams

The Washington Redskins have been a bit better than the middle of the pack this year defensively and to make things better they take on a St. Louis Rams offense that ranks 30h overall. This should be a pretty good play for you this week.

7. (Baltimore Ravens) @ Indianapolis Colts

What can you say about the Baltimore Ravens defense? They aer on top of the game once again in yardage allowed with 192.5 and have given up a small 14.0 PPG. This week they take on the Indianapolis Colts who are solid offensively, but no where near what they used to be. This should play well for the Ravens.
