WWE: 5 Draft Predictions for Smackdown's Roster
It's that time of the year again; it's time to shake things up.
The 2011 WWE draft is only two days away, and I for one am excited.
With the sudden and shocking retirement of Edge, SmackDown's roster is in desperate need for a top face, and even though Rey Mysterio and Christian are great top faces, SmackDown is still missing that one top face who could replace Edge.
This slideshow is based on predictions for the superstars who will be drafted from Raw to SmackDown.
It will also predict what could happen to these guys after they get drafted to SmackDown and who they will be involved in rivalries with.
So without further ado, let's get started.
5. Sheamus
1 of 5
Sheamus is one superstar in desperate need of a move to SmackDown.
Even though he started off his career on Raw great, recently he hasn't been doing that great and a move to SmackDown would definitely save his career.
If he moved to SmackDown with the US championship, he should feud with Sin Cara.
If he would move to SmackDown without the US championship, he should feud with Rey Rey due to the fact that Rey is one of SmackDown's most popular and beloved faces.
If Sheamus would get into a rivalry with Rey, then he would definitely get over as a heel and it would benefit his character.
4. John Morrison

Lets face it, Morrison was born to be on SmackDown.
The reason why I say this is because nearly a year ago, Mr. McMahon started booking SmackDown so it could be the wrestling show, while Raw was the entertainment show. John Morrison is one hell of an athlete.
Even though he has decent mic skills, his phenomenal wrestling abilities overshadow his mic skills.
If he would move to SmackDown, he would definitely become one of SmackDown's top faces and perhaps even feud for the World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Championship (depending on the draft).
3. R- Truth

A lot has been said about Truth over the past few weeks in the WWE Universe, but I must admit, I like the dude.
He's a great wrestler and I felt his heel turn was properly executed. I'm excited to see him tonight on Raw with his new persona.
I'm rooting for Truth to be drafted to SmackDown, becoming the top heel.
Hopefully he feuds with Morrison and they both give the WWE Universe one hell of a rivalry.
2. Sin Cara
4 of 5
This guy's definitely one of the most talented, if not the most talented wrestler out of the new generation of superstars; he needs to be on SmackDown.
With Rey Rey's contract expiring soon, Smackdown needs another talented luchadore who could draw Hispanic ratings and Sin Cara is the guy.
If he moves to Smackdown, I see him feuding for the US championship against Sheamus.
1. Randy Orton
5 of 5
The entire reason the draft took place was because, due to the shocking retirement of Edge, SmackDown needs it's top face.
Randy Orton's viper character is still hot and WWE needs to cash in on it by sending Orton to SmackDown.
Needless to say, if he was drafted to SmackDown, he would be feuding for the top championship whether it's the WWE Championship or the World Championship.
Personally, I feel this move should've been done a year ago at the 2010 WWE draft but now's the time.
Thank you guys for the read, it was my first article (slideshow) so hopefully you liked it.
Until next time, Joker out.
