WWE Draft 2011: My Ideal Raw Roster After the Monday Night Raw Special
Yes, I know, another draft article. Why must I put you through the pain of reading this? Well, I did a similar thing with TNA a few weeks ago. So since the WWE Draft is upon us, what better time than express my ideas on who should be feuding with who and why?
I will be doing champions and challengers and non-title Raw feuds today, and then the Smackdown within the next few days. So, don't steal my idea and flip it over to the Smackdown side. I think everybody knows who I was talking to there.
Without further delay, Lights. Camera. Action!
Trent Barretta vs. Chris Masters
1 of 12
These guys would both come over from Smackdown, and begin a feud that would most likely take place on WWE Superstars. Masters would make a heel turn and eventually move up the card, in the gimmick he once main evented with.
Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler
2 of 12
With Ziggler's new look, I smell a face turn coming. He will somehow dump Vickie Guerrero and turn into a face.
Now enter his opponent, Drew McIntyre. McIntyre hasn't been doing much as of late, and a move to Raw could change his fortunes.
McIntyre and Ziggler could put on great matches if booked correctly.
R-Truth vs. Kofi Kingston
3 of 12
R-Truth's recent heel turn has made him relevant again. So, after feuding with John Morrison, Truth would go onto feud with Kofi Kingston.
Kingston needs a move over to Raw, because he's being jobbed out on Smackdown. And while Kofi could benefit from a heel turn as well, I'll keep him face, as he is extremely over.
This would also be a great showcase of the WWE's top African-American stars.
CM Punk vs. Sin Cara
4 of 12
This has been rumored to happen since Sin Cara's debut, and I couldn't find much else for these two. So, why not have them put on some great matches.
The biggest problem with Sin Cara feuding anyone at the moment is, he cannot speak fluent english. So, most of his talking would be done in the ring. Which would be a welcome change in the WWE.
I have a feeling these two could put on some classic matches, because both have great in-ring skills that contrast very well.
John Morrison vs. John Cena
5 of 12
This could happen several ways. The WWE could get this heated up at Extreme Rules, or wait until Morrison's rivalry with R-Truth simmers down.
Either way, Morrison is much better on the mic as a heel. And in the past, he has called John Cena boring, which would make for a great background story here.
This could help Morrison finally rise into WWE stardom.
Challenger for the Divas Championship: Kharma
6 of 12
Yes, Kharma is Awesome Kong's new ring name according to numerous dirtsheets.
Now in the past couple of weeks, we have seen vignettes featuring Kharma ripping a brat doll's head off, followed by hysterical laughing. This, of course, is to symbolize what she will do to the WWE Divas. However, this next diva knows what she's up against.
Divas Champion: Gail Kim
7 of 12
Yes, it all makes sense. Gail Kim has been feuding with The Bellas for a while now and Brie Bella just became the new Divas Champion. So, with Kharma coming in, I think Kim will soon defeat Brie for the championship.
I think this would be a great idea to reignite the history and great matches these two have had.
Challenger for the Intercontenental Championship: Ezekiel Jackson
8 of 12
I am switching the shows for the United States and Intercontinental Championships. I feel like it could benefit both champions.
Now, onto Ezekiel Jackson. I think with the recent tension in The Corre, it's likely they are split up in the upcoming draft.
I have Gabriel and Slater sticking on Smackdown, while Jackson and Wade Barrett move over to Raw. And the smart move here, would to be to have Ezekiel Jackson go after Barrett's title.
That's exactly what I'm doing here.
Intercontenental Champion: Wade Barrett
9 of 12
I told you!
Ever since entering the WWE's main roster, Barrett has been leading a stable. I think it's time he go off on his own, because I feel like he is perfectly capable of doing so.
Also, the WWE always has trouble with booking a heel stable.
Challenger for the WWE Championship: Jack Swagger
10 of 12
I know exactly what your thinking; What is this idiot thinking by putting Jack Swagger as the challenger to The Miz's WWE Championship?
Well, let me explain myself. I was originally going to put Kofi Kingston here, but I thought up a good storyline and I knew if I chose Kingston, I'd be called a mark and/or a homer.
So, to see my plan, switch to the next slide.
WWE Champion: The Miz
11 of 12
At Extreme Rules, The Miz retains his WWE Championship against John Cena and John Morrison. Earlier in the night, Jack Swagger turned on Michael Cole and helped Jerry Lawler beat Cole to a pulp.
The next night on Raw, The Miz attacks Swagger and says that Swagger has no right to put his hands on the esteemed voice of the WWE. The anonymous general manager chimes in and says that next week, The Miz and Jack Swagger will go one-on-one. If Swagger wins, he'll get a title shot at Over The Limit.
Surely enough, the next week, Swagger defeats Miz and earns a title shot.
The WWE could then go many different directions with this feud.
