English Championship: Can Leeds Stop the Reading Juggernaut?
Nottingham Forest vs. Leicester
Nottingham Forest's bid to enter into the playoffs has taken a turn for the worse in the last few months after they have enjoyed just one victory since the end of February. It is the terrible form that has seen Leeds United secure a two-point advantage over Forest.
Even though Nottingham Forest have a good record against Leicester at home, they will be extremely mindful of the fact that Leicester can go level on points with a victory, which looks highly probable at the moment.
This, despite the fact that Leicester are not enjoying the best of run-ins to the match, either.
With only two victories in their last five matches, Leicester could be forgiven for going for the draw. However, given that the playoffs are not far away from their reach, they will definitely look to recreate their victory over the hosts back in 2007.
Paul Konchesky is the major miss for Nottingham, but the return of Chris Cohen could prove vital for the hosts.
Leicester, on the other hand, will be without Sol Bamba and a few other players. The injury situation is the major headache for Sven Goran Eriksson at the moment, but he will be looking to overcome Nottingham, whose form has been even worse.
Leeds vs. Reading
Leeds United will be facing a stern test against a Reading side that is in excellent form.
No other word other than excellent can be used to describe Reading's form in recent weeks after recording seven consecutive victories. It is the sort of form that has seen them move within just two points off Norwich in the third position.
Without a shadow of doubt, playoffs would have been the target a few weeks ago, but now they are with a real chance of getting automatic promotion.
Leeds United, on the other hand, seem to be unable to withstand the pressure of holding the playoffs position after just one victory to their name in the last five matches.
Reading are definitely the form team at the moment, and any result other than a victory would see Leeds United's playoff position under threat from Nottingham Forest.
Simon Grayson would be hoping that Lady luck, whose help handed an 88th-minute equaliser against Watford last weekend to provide some this weekend as well.
Luciano Becchio is the injury doubt for Leeds United, while Noel Hunt remains in doubt for Reading.
