Clasico Copa Del Rey Final: FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid, the Revenge of the Sith
April 20, 2011
First of all, congratulations to Real Madrid for winning the Copa del Rey, fair and square.
After taking a media bashing for Saturday’s ultra-defensive approach, the Empire (Real Madrid) bounced back in style, defeating the Jedi-Knight (FC Barcelona) on Naboo (Valencia’s Mestalla).
Apparently the recruitment of Darth Maul (Cristiano Ronaldo) has already paid rich dividends as it was he who dissolved the Jedi’s resistance, albeit with some assistance from Admiral Ozzel (Angel Di Maria).
Once again did Darth Vader (Jose Mourinho) remind the (football) universe of his immense value. Needless to say, Emperor Palpatine will feel his latest investment in the second Death Star aka the Galacticos 2.0 has been vindicated.
The Jedi, although at times looking like the more threating battalion will feel they could’ve won the battle of Naboo.
Among the brave resistance fighters who fell victim to the Empire was Lando Calrissian (David Villa). In his last few encounters Lando has been anything but lethal. It remains to be seen if he can recover his mojo back.
For now, let’s be gracious in defeat, congratulate the Empire and look forward to the next epic clash. Who knows, if my Star Wars analogy holds true the Jedi will prevail and restore order in the Universe ;)
