WWE Draft 2011: Where Will Your Favorites End Up?
With the WWE Draft next week, many superstars are facing the possibility that they may be drafted to Raw or Smackdown.
Of course, after the draft, there is a good chance that the WWE will begin its spring cleaning and fire those who are no longer needed.
In this slideshow I will give my WWE Draft picks for Monday and the Supplemental Draft which should occur a day or two later. I will also give a few superstars who I believe are on the way out.
So without further delay, let's see where your favorite superstars will be after the WWE Draft.
Drafted to Raw: Cody Rhodes
1 of 10
Cody Rhodes is involved in a feud with Rey Mysterio right now on Smackdown but that should not hold him back from being drafted.
They can continue their feud and at Extreme Rules Rey defeats Cody and removes his mask. When Cody gets his mask removed; he is embarrassed and never appears on Smackdown again.
Cody's new gimmick has actually been quite helpful to the young star. He could be a good heel on Raw and could easily feud with a number of the current stars on the "A" show.
Drafted to Raw: Jack Swagger
2 of 10
Jack Swagger has been on Raw for the past couple of weeks making this move very logical. It would not be a surprise at all and would allow his feud with Michael Cole to continue for a little while.
I am not sure that is a good thing, but at least Swagger has something to do. Maybe on Raw, he could make a name for himself again.
Drafted to Raw: Drew McIntyre
3 of 10
For whatever reason all Drew McIntyre ever gets on Smackdown is matches against Edge or Rey Mysterio. If Drew gets drafted to Raw then he can finally return to being the chosen one.
McIntyre finally seems to be getting a heel edge and attitude. His match with JTG on WWE Superstars two weeks ago shows his transition.
Here is a link to the match. This was a nice match, and I recommend watching it.
Drew McIntyre's move could set him up for a victory in the Raw Money in the Bank match and then his first WWE Championship reign.
Drafted to Smackdown: Randy Orton
4 of 10
This is a move that most people want to happen. With Edge retiring and Smackdown without any major face superstars besides Christian, Smackdown needs a new main-eventer.
Randy Orton would give the blue brand exactly what they need. Since Smackdown usually features longer wrestling matches, Randy Orton could showcase his talents much better on Friday nights.
I also think a feud with Alberto Del Rio would be very interesting.
Drafted to Smackdown: Daniel Bryan
5 of 10
Daniel Bryan has been lost on Raw ever since he lost his United States Championship. He really needs to be moved to Smackdown so his talents can shine.
Supplemental Draft
6 of 10
I only see about five or six draft picks on Raw. The show is the standard two-hour show which does not leave much time for draft picks.
I do however see about 12 to 14 draft changes in the Supplemental Draft. Almost all of these will be low-card talent, but a few mid-carders will change brands as well.
Supplemental Draft: Superstars Drafted to Raw
7 of 10
The following superstars will be drafted to Raw:
Chavo Guerrero
Beth Phoenix
Kofi Kingston
Michelle McCool
As much as it pains me to say it....Hornswoggle.
Supplemental Draft: Superstars Drafted to Smackdown
8 of 10
The following superstars will be drafted to Smackdown:
Alex Riley
DH Smith
Evan Bourne
Melina
Ted DiBiase
Vladimir Kozlov
Zack Ryder
Superstars That Will Be "Future Endeavored"
9 of 10
These superstars will most likely be fired during the spring cleaning session:
Husky Harris (shipped back to FCW for awhile)
Jey Uso
Jimmy Uso
JTG
Michael Tarver
Primo Colon
The Great Khali
Trent Barreta
Tyler Reks
Tyson Kidd
Yoshi Tatsu
The End
10 of 10
Those are my picks for the 2011 WWE Draft. Hopefully these changes bring the WWE fans something different and interesting on Raw and Smackdown.
A week or two after the draft, I would expect the WWE to begin its "spring cleaning." Hopefully your favorites, along with mine, do not end up there.
Thanks for reading.
