WWE Draft: What the WWE Should Do with Sin Cara

Joe M.Apr 19, 2011

Sin Cara debuted on Monday Night Raw just two weeks ago, and he's already grown to be a fan favorite with his captivating in-ring skill set. That, however, doesn't mean everything went down just like WWE had planned.

Mistico was renowned as one of the best Mexican Luchadors in the world, and being that WWE is always on the lookout for Hispanic wrestlers to tap into the fanbase that Rey Mysterio currently owns, Vince McMahon signed Mistico up.

Right off the bat, there were some issues with Cara, from his in-ring work to his entrance.

The powers that be in WWE were debating dropping the trampoline-launch entrance after the top rope was clipped by Sin Cara's boots twice in two weeks.

His matches with Primo were riddled with botches, maybe because of Primo's lack of experience in taking Moonsault Side Slams and other extreme lucha libre-style moves.

In his first month, he's been in the ring with Jack Swagger, Sheamus, John Cena and The Miz, which seems to be a good indicator that WWE management has not lost faith in Cara, despite a somewhat rocky start.

But what is next for Cara?  Is he going to stay in the main event, or even on Raw with the annual WWE Draft being next week?

There is no doubt that Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara is a dream match most every fan would want to see, but Cara is new blood, so anyone he feuds with will be never-before-seen, which means both Smackdown and Raw have a roster full of potential opponents.

Smackdown is in desperate need of babyfaces following Edge's retirement, maybe Smackdown is the next step for Cara. This would also open the door for the possible Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara feud.

Wherever Cara ends up, it looks as though he will be a player in the main event scene.
