NBA Power Rakings 2008-09
As the season comes we must grade who is real and who isn't. So, lets see what will happen.
30. Memphis Grizzlies
They have always known how to play bad.
29. Oklahoma City Grizzlies
New City= Bad team. We see it in every sport.
28. Minnesota Timberwolves
No single star? Actually, that is a problem....
27. Charlotte Bobcats
Unless Okafor steps up, nothing will change.
26. Milwakee Bucks
They were made a little better, but they just don't have IT.
25. New York Knicks
No Isaah Thomas will help, but it won't help right away.
24. Sacramento Kings
The past Kings are gone, now they have no identity.
23. Chicago Bulls
Their good draft choices will help, but not until next year.
22. Golden State Warriors
With no Baron Davis, there is no playoffs.
21. Indiana Pacers
Every year they get close, every year they can't go the extra length. They might just give up.
20. Atlanta Hawks
Childress is gone, but Joe Johnson isn't. They still won't go to the playoffs.
19. Miami Heat
Dwayne Wade is back, Beasley has arrived. Maybe the Heat have finally come out of the shade.
18. Washington Wizards
The East keeps getting better, but they aren't going up that much...
17. New Jersey Nets
As long as Vince Carter acts as a leader, they will excel.
16. Portland Trail Blazers
Oden and Brandon Roy? Thats a pretty good looking team.
15. Philadelphia 76ers
Elton Brand joins the team, that must make them feel a little better.
14. Denver Nuggets
Carmelo and Iverson are good together, but can they step higher?
13. Dallas Mavericks
Dirk must be feeling bad, losing in the playoffs EVERY YEAR. He has to feel bad...
12. Houston Rockets
McGrady and Yao Ming are both healthy, that could make good things happen.
11. Toronto Raptors
Bosh has been great and I trust him to just get better,
10. Los Angeles Clippers
Baron Davis brings that new feeling to this team and will make them WIN.
9. Utah Jazz
Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams make one of those great offensive duos.
8. Orlando Magic
Dwight Howard will be the MVP, and a team with a MVP is always safe.
7. Phoenix Suns
Nash wants blood, and Shaq just wants to beat Kobe.
6. Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James lost early last year, he won't let that happen again.
5. San Antonio Spurs
Duncan is still Duncan, and have you seen Parker and Ginoboli? if they don't win, thats ridiculous.
4. Detroit Pistons
With that Classic starting 5 and now Stuckey playing well, theyyyyyrrrrreeee baaaaccckkkk.
3. New Orleans Hornets
Chris Paul is great, plus Chandler is right next to him. This team will just be better.
2. Los Angeles Lakers
Kobe+Bynum+Gasol= 2nd straight West champions
1. Boston Celtics
Garnett+Peirce+Allen= 2nd straight NBA champions
See you soon,
Tom
