TNA Lockdown Card and Full Detailed Results
TNA Lockdown has officially passed. I ordered the pay-per-view and enjoyed it.
Lockdown was LIVE at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.
There were two championship matches, one new champion was crowned and plenty of matches in between. The card had a total of eight matches and a dark match featuring Devon vs. Anarquia of Mexican America.
Some heated feuds came to a cool and ended at Lockdown this year. We may see a fresh face in the main-event scene after watching the outcome of one match.
Who is it?
Find out here.
These are the TNA Lockdown 2011 results and review.
X Division Xscape Match
1 of 8
Alex Shelley was not cleared to compete in this match by doctors and wasn't seen at Lockdown. The match became an eight-man match.
Amazing Red and Suicide got some big pops from the crowd during the entrances. I believe Okato was playing the Suicide character. It was funny, when he came into the match, the crowd started a "Fallen Angel" chant.
There was good X Division-style wrestling in this match.
Rules are simple. Eight men. Six get eliminated by pin fall, last two fight, winner escapes the cage, all right?
Suicide was first gone after Robbie E hit him with a boot to the face. After that, Amazing Red, Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal all went back and forth. The crowd was behind Red and he was taking it to Sabin and Lethal.
Red eliminated Lethal after a quick combo of moves then his finisher, Code Red.
Next out was Red by a crazy suplex move from Sabin. Max Buck eliminated Sabin with his finisher. Kendrick took out Robbie for a while and The Bucks started to fight.
Jeremy repeatedly slammed Max into the cage. Jeremy mounted Max, rained down some left and rights, but Max surprised his brother with a roll up to eliminate him.
The crowd was red-hot for Kendrick in this match. He, Max Buck and Robbie were the last three. Robbie and Max tried to double team Kendrick but he was like a house of fire! He beat the hell out of both men and eliminated Robbie.
Both men fought on the ropes, climbing the cage. Kendrick slammed Max face first into the cage! Max was down! Kendrick had one leg over the cage! I honestly thought Kendrick was going to win!
Max threw the referee into the cage, causing Kendrick to fall back in and land hard.
Max xscapes and wins. New No. 1 contender: Max Buck.
Winner: Max Buck
Four Way Tag Team Match
2 of 8
Jesse Neal and EY started the match off. They were equally matched, hitting each other with arm drags and going back and forth. They smiled, shook hands and tagged out.
Shannon tags in quickly to put it to EY. He taunts Steiner and Williams tags himself in, EY managed a tag to Jordan.
The British Invasion start to double team OJ, but he fights back. OJ tags out to Neal who becomes the British Invasion's punching bag. The crowd wants Steiner in.
Neal tags to Crimson and is evenly matched by Magnus. Both connect with a clothesline a tag their partners.
Steiner comes in and he is on fire! He tosses everyone in the match around with belly-to-belly suplexes. He's on fire!
Eric Young takes his pants off? Yes, and he is wearing the same underwear as OJ. Things go crazy. Everyone is hitting finishing moves.
OJ did his to Moore, I believe, Neal hit OJ with a Gore but got up and turned inside out by Crimson's finisher. Crimson got dropped by Magnus. Eric Young is climbing the cage but it's win by pinfall.
Moore hits the Moore-gasm on one of the Brits and gets the pin at the same time EY drops to the floor. Both, Moore and EY celebrate, the winner is Ink Inc. Eric didn't know it was pinfall. Poor EY.
Winner: Ink Inc.
Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne (Hair vs. Title)
3 of 8
Backstage, Rayne has scissors and tells Tara she doesn't need her. Tara showing signs of a face turn and feud with Madison...
Mickie comes to the ring, shoulder taped up. She separated her shoulder at a house show.
Madison comes out and does she take her time, damn! She walked extremely slow, waving to the crowd, showing off her scissors, taking her gloves off.
Finally, she steps into the cage.
Mickie grabs her and throws her hard, head first into the steel cage. That spot looked like it hurt for Madison! Ouch! Terrible way to hit her head!
Mickie does that three more times and hits a DDT! Pin! 1...2...3! New Knockout Champion! Mickie James made women's wrestling history!
Winner: New Knockouts Champion, Mickie James
The Pope vs. Samoa Joe
4 of 8
These two were face to face in the ring and the first thing Pope does is...try to escape the cage. Run from Joe. Joe easily pulls him down and these two start.
They kept exchanging blows. One spot, both were on the rope and Joe head butted Pope and Pope landed on the rope in, as Taz says Yambag City.
Joe climbed down and hit Pope with a running kick to take him off the rope.
They exchange again. Both men slapping each other in the middle of the ring. Pope hits the 4-up for a two. Joe hits a big leg lariat from the second rope for a two.
Joe hits Pope with the Muscle Buster! Pin! Pope got his foot on the rope.
Pope tried to climb the cage again, but Joe grabbed him by the tights, revealing Pope's ass to the live crowd and people watching at home! Why Joe, why?!
Pope fought him off and hit a big elbow drop for two. Pope hit a lungblower for two. Joe got up in the corner, Pope setting up for DDE.
Joe reverses it and gets Pope in a Muscle Buster! He's got him. No, Joe locks in a choke hold and chokes out The Pope.
Winner: Samoa Joe
Matt Morgan vs. Hernandez
5 of 8
Morgan had the early advantage, punching Hernandez and hitting a side walk slam for two.
Morgan attempted to go to the top rope, but Anarquia grabbed his leg through a camera hole, allowing Hernandez to throw himself into Morgan and against the steel cage.
Hernandez scrapes Morgan's face against the steel and Mexican America loves it.
Morgan starts to fight back with a cross body, then is decked with a clothesline by Hernandez. Hernandez throws Matt into the cage several times, Mexican America likes that too, and chokes Morgan with a shirt.
Morgan is out and Hernandez celebrates. One problem: the match isn't over. Hernandez is taunting the crowd and Morgan cracks him with a discus clothesline.
Morgan is in full control and launches Super Mex into the cage several times. Morgan sets up for a Carbon Footprint, but Mexican America begins to ascend the cage.
Sarita and Rosita climb and distract the referee, while Anarquia climbs behind Morgan. Morgan notices and open palm-slaps the cage, forcing Anarquia to fall.
Hernandez jumps at Morgan from the top rope! Carbon Footprint! Hernandez eats a Carbon Footprint in mid-air! That's all she wrote!
After the match, Morgan signals a belt around his waist. He's back in the title hunt.
Sarita and Rosita stay in the ring as Anarquia and Hernandez leave. They complain about being held back and Sarita demands to know why she hasn't been Knockout Champion. New No. 1 contender perhaps?
Velvet Sky comes to a huge pop and beats down Sarita and Rosita. She celebrates with the crowd.
Winner: Matt Morgan
Ultra Male Match: Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett
6 of 8
Ultra Male is the equivalent to Three Stages of Hell.
Fall 1 was by submission, fall 2 by pinfall and fall 3 was escape the cage.
Karen comes out with Double J but is kicked out from ringside!
The two start and Angle takes down Jarrett with a headlock. Both men are hitting each other from the ground and Jarrett locks in a figure four leg lock. Angle rolls over and applies it to Jarrett, who grabs the ropes.
Both men are up and Angle takes Double J over head with a T-bone suplex then Ankle Lock. Jarrett fights out and puts Angle in a sleeper. Angle fights out and goes shoulder first into the post. Jarrett puts Kurt in an arm bar and Angle rolls it into an Ankle Lock. Jarrett taps out.
Fall two starts and Jarrett was quick with the offense. Head first into the cage goes Angle then the Stroke for a two.
Both guys exchange. Angle goes for German suplex but Jarrett reverses with a low blow and attempts the Stroke again. Kurt sends Jarrett into the cage wall and hits an Angle Slam. Two count.
Jarrett goes up top and Angle meets him with a super belly-to-belly off the ropes. Angle hits a clothesline and an RKO. He sets up for an Angle Slam but Jarrett countered into a roll up, held the tights and won fall two.
Jarrett throws Kurt into the cage and tries to unlock the cage door. Angle grabs him in the German suplex. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 German suplexes later and Angle walk to the cage door. He opens it and proceeds out. Wait, Angle walks back in, then goes back out and stands on the steel steps.
Angle walks back into the cage and puts the key in his pants and flips Jarrett off! Shades of last year's Lockdown! Angle did the same with Anderson!
Angle busted Jeff open with use of the cage. Angle climbs the cage but Jarrett grabs him in a power bomb. A huge power bomb off the top rope! Angle's landing was nasty!
He turned inside out. Angle did almost a back flip and landed on his head and neck! Off the top of the cage nonetheless! Kurt looks like he's done. Nasty landing off the cage.
Jarrett climbs, but Angle throws Double J off the top rope with a big Angle Slam! Angle wants out, but can't find the key! He climbs the cage but TV Champion, Gunner comes out, chair in hand.
Angle climbs all around the cage and Gunner is camping like a hungry wolf, banging the cage with the chair. Daring Angle to come down.
Angle makes the sign of the cross. Moonsault! Angle off the top of the cage moonsault on Jarrett! Insane! He barely hit Jarrett!
Steiner comes down and chases Gunner away!
Jarrett's not moving. Angle finds the key, unlocks the door but Karen comes out and sprays Angle with hair spray or perfume. Angle's blinded and hits the ref.
Karen calls for Jeff, who slowly crawls to her. Angle, still blinded, is feeling around the ring. Jarrett is inches from winning and Angle pulls him back with an Ankle Lock!
Karen slides in a guitar to Jeff. He connects! He hit Kurt with it and crawls towards Karen! Jeff is laying on the steel steps and Kurt pulls him back in via Ankle Lock!
Karen swings the cage door at Kurt and nails him in the head and Jeff falls to the arena floor.
Winner: Jeff Jarrett (Major assist goes to Karen)
TNA World Title: Mr. Anderson vs. RVD vs. Sting
7 of 8
All three guys came out to a good pop from the crowd.
Anderson starts the match by getting in each man's face and calling them a**holes. RVD and Sting take turns teeing off on Anderson's face. Both men slam Anderson face first into the turnbuckle and RVD kicks him in the face, followed by a Scorpion Deathlock.
RVD breaks the submission with a kick to Sting's face.
RVD works on Sting in the corner then hits a standing moonsault for two. RVD goes to the ropes but Anderson pull him down and turns around into a Scorpion Deathlock.
RVD goes to break it up again but Sting dodges RVD and catches him in the Deathlock too!
They break out and Anderson catches on fire. He grabs RVD in a Mic Check, but Sting comes to break it up and Anderson catches Sting in it, too! Anderson pins one man for a two, then scurries to the other for the same result.
RVD knocks Anderson off his feet and hits a Five Star Frog Splash. Sting breaks up the pin and goes for a Deathdrop on RVD which is broken up by Anderson. All three men are down and Hulk Hogan comes out, steel pipe in hand.
Hogan sticks his arm through a camera hole and offers the pipe to RVD. RVD takes the pipe and.....throws it at Hogan! Anderson takes the pipe and hits RVD with it!
Hogan looks on and Anderson said he did it for himself and flips Hogan off! Sting from behind, Scorpion Deathdrop!
Winner: Still TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Sting!
Lethal Lockdown: Immortal vs. Fortune
8 of 8
This match was great. The thing I didn't like was both teams came out together at the beginning. Usually, the teams stay backstage and it's a mystery as to who will come out for their team. Nope, everyone just stood ringside until they wanted in.
Kazarian and Abyss started. Kaz was on fire and taking it to the Monster. Abyss fought back and beat down Kazarian. Kazarian fought back with a huracanrana and sandwiched Abyss against the cage with a couple of drop kicks.
Next in was Matt Hardy. Abyss and Hardy picked apart Kazarian until Fortune's next member came in. It was Daniels.
Daniels came in a took it to Abyss and Hardy. Daniels hit the BME on Abyss and worked on Matt.
Immortal's Ric Flair came in. He was wearing a t-shirt and his casual pants, no wrestling gear. Once I saw that, I knew Flair would have his attire ripped apart.
Flair came in and laid in some chops to Daniels and Kaz. Flair regains momentum for Immortal until Fortune's next member comes in.
Storm spits beer on Abyss' eyes, clotheslines Hardy and hits a backstabber on Abyss. Flair and Storm are face-to-face and Storm is holding his beer bottle. Oh, boy. Flair is begging.
Storm blasts Flair over the head! Blood spills from Ric's head! Storm rips Flair's clothes to shreds and we do see Flair's ass...again. How many times has Flair had his clothes ripped off in TNA?
Bully Ray comes in and regains momentum for Immortal.
The final member of Fortune comes in and it's Robert Roode. Roode lays out Abyss and Hardy but is temporarily stopped by Flair and his chops. Roode answers back with chops of his own and he and Storm hit Bully Ray with a double suplex.
They start their vintage stomping and the lights flash. The roof is coming down. "Beer! Money!" the crowd yells.
Daniels and Kazarian charge at Abyss and force him through the cage door. Daniels follows The Monster outside and so does Matt Hardy.
Daniels beats the hell out of Abyss with a trash can lid then follows Hardy to the top of the cage, where surprisingly, there is no ladder and/or table up there for once.
Daniels sets up for an Angel's Wings on Matt but Hardy reverses and almost throws Daniels off the cage! Daniels is holding on for his life! He gets back up and into a Twist of Hate from Matt.
Bully Ray is beating the hell out of Storm, Roode and Kazarian with a Singapore cane. Matt Hardy climbed off the cage and checked on Abyss.
Daniels takes a leap of faith off the roof of the cage and onto Matt Hardy and Abyss! The crowd loved it!
Fortune is laid out and Bully Ray is beating them with every weapon he can find. Daniels gets in the ring and is busted open by Ray.
Ray keeps asking, "Where's AJ now?" Speak of the devil...
AJ's music hits, the crowd erupts and Bully Ray looks as if he crapped his pants!
AJ charges into the ring and beats Ray senseless! He throws Ray hard into the cage and hits a Pele. Flair comes from behind, but is grabbed by Roode and taken down into an arm breaker.
Roode is yelling for Flair to tap and Storm is bashing Flair's brains out of his head with a trash can lid. Flair taps!
Fortune stands tall! AJ is back!
Winners: Fortune
