New UFC 129 Promo Video

A new promo video for UFC 129 was recently released by the UFC in preparation for the upcoming event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

It is expected to be the largest event in UFC history. The main event features the long-awaited showdown for the UFC welterweight title between Georges St-Pierre and Jake Shields.

St-Pierre furthered himself in the pound-for-pound debate with his UFC 124 drubbing of top contender Josh Koscheck. Shields offers an interesting test. He is a world-class wrestler and one of the best Brazilian jiu-jitsu artists in the sport.

The co-main event involves a featherweight championship bout between MMA wrecking ball Jose Aldo and wily veteran Mark Hominick.

Since his WEC debut in June 2008, Aldo took the featherweight division by storm and hasn't looked back. Alongside Anderson Silva and St-Pierre, Aldo is considered one of the top three pound-for-pound fighters in the world.

Hominick is a proficient striker with multiple skills in other areas. It'll be interesting to see if he possesses the tools to end Aldo's reign of terror.

UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture will also be in action against former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida. While Couture is coming off consecutive victories over Brandon Vera, Mark Coleman, and James Toney, Machida has lost two straight bouts to Mauricio Rua and Quinton Jackson.
