#1 Arizona Rattlers Defense Travels to #3 Kansas City Command Offense
On Saturday the AFL.com third ranked total offense from Kansas City will attack the first ranked total defense from Arizona.
With a record of 3-1, the Command will host the 4-0 Rattlers. With both teams looking to make divisional statements, they realize that what is on paper doesn’t count for much after kickoff.
The Arizona Rattlers have proven twice this season in stunning come from behind victories that stats are only for writing.
According to the statistics, Aaron Garcia from Jacksonville should have marched up and down the Rattlers’ field without breaking a sweat.
According to statistics, Rayshaun Kizer and Marlon Moye- Moore from Orlando should have suppressed anything the Rattlers threw their way.
Those are two games that the Rattlers were supposed to lose, but statistics don’t matter with minutes left on the clock.
The same can be said for the Kansas City Command.
They are ranked the third overall offense with a total of 1,307 yards and 28 touchdowns, yet have managed to start the season with a 1-3 record.
In their first three games they have failed to hold off the opposing team in the first quarters of their losses and failed to catch up to the Vigilantes, Sabercats, and the Shock by the end of the game, despite their outstanding performances.
The key to the Rattlers victory is an early lead.
Last week the Command started with the lead against the Barnstormers and comfortably had control for the duration of the game.
If the Rattlers can follow the example of their NC West Division companions and take an early lead, and of course hang on to it, then the Rattlers will maintain their division lead and their perfect record.
