AC Milan: Alessandro Nesta Is Angry with Club over Contract Deal
Alessandro Nesta (AC Milan Defender) is angry at his club secondary to the contract deal. The deal is for AC Milan to pay Nesta $3.6 million per season.
According to Nesta, the insult was added to injury when AC Milan worked out a deal to pay Philippe Mexes $6.5 million per season.
Nesta considered retirement after his current contract with the club was set to expire at the end of the current season. Nesta (after doing some soul searching) decided to stay with AC Milan for another year.
He asked his agent to discuss with Adriano Galliani (AC Milan Vice President) to broker another deal with AC Milan. The result was not the one that Nesta expected.
Nesta still has one card in his sleeve in AC Milan. Massimiliano Allegri (the Coach of AC Milan) considers Nesta as a vital member of the team. It is rumored that Allegri will attempt to improve the offer for Alessandro Nesta.
Recently, Alessandro Nesta has declared that AC Milan can win the Scudetto without Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Regardless, Nesta warns that times will be tough for the team during the Scudetto. It remains to be seen what will transpire when AC Milan faces Sampdoria at San Siro this Saturday.
