WWE: A Monday Night RAW Fantasy After WrestleMania 27
I recently commented on an article about how WWE should listen more to it's fans and it got me to thinking, what could have been done better or differently on Raw this week? So I came up with this little fantasy for what I would have scheduled for the Raw after WrestleMania 27. So, without further adieu, I present to you RAW!
Opening Segment: Triple H promo for The Undertaker
I felt this was pretty good, so I wouldn't really change it too much, though maybe have Triple H sell his injuries a bit more. Since he walked away from the match, but Undertaker didn't, I think he should look like he was in a bit more of a fight, but overall, good segment.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
First Match: Jerry Lawler vs. Jack Swagger
The match was OK for an opener. Got the crowd into the show, but I would have made a few minor tweaks. I probably would have cut Lawler's offense a bit down, near the spot for the Diving Fist Drop. It got kinda awkward seeing Swagger stagger for as long as he did. Aside from that, I would have probably had Swagger come down to protect Cole from an angry J.R, and lead him up the ramp. Just to strengthen how big a wuss he is.
Second Match: Cody Rhodes and CM Punk vs. Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio
Great match to start off the night and I think the crowd was really into it. For the commentary, I would have had them throw in a mention or two about Legacy while Rhodes was in the ring with Orton. I also would have continued to have Orton play up his injury, and changed the ending.
At the spot where Rey was on the second rope after a kick to the mid-section by Punk, I'd have had Rhodes rush and clothesline himself and Rey out of the ring. Then with Punk and Orton alone, as Punk turns to Orton, he tries for an RKO, which is blocked by Punk, who throws him off, before capitalizing with the GTS for the win.
Reason for the change: Orton can survive a loss like this, so it helps Punk more and gives them reason to keep feuding. Rey also doesn't need the win, and it raises Cody's stock a bit higher.
HHH/Stone Cold Backstage: Would happen as it did in reality. Nothing wrong with the segment at all.
Tough Enough Segment: I kind of liked the TE segment and getting to meet the cast. I also liked The Miz's interruption, but I'd change this one, and make it so that both Miz and Riley jumped Stone Cold. Stone Cold would be able fight them off, including hitting a Thez Press/Mounted Punches combination on The Miz before hitting Riley with The Stone Cold Stunner. The segment would end, not only with the TE contestants having a beer bash, but Riley with a beer on himself.
Reason for change: It was funny.
Third Match: Evan Bourne vs. Alberto Del Rio
Nice match. I expected a flat out squash, but Bourne got some good offense in. Wouldn't change anything on his part. Alberto Del Rio impressed as well. The only thing I would change is instead of using The Cross Armbreaker, I would have had him hit the Enziguiri on the top rope and go straight for the pin. Del Rio, in my opinion, needs a new finisher to go along with the armbreaker, and this move seems about as good as any.
Reason for change: Del Rio needs to vary his arsenal.
Fourth Match: John Morrison and Trish Stratus vs. Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero
An OK match, but with Ziggler and Morrison, I expected a little something more, besides new ring gear for Morrison. (The black leather looks great on him, though. More streamlined. Hope he keeps it.) This match would be changed more than any other.
Instead of it being mixed tag, let's just make it one on one between Morrison and Ziggler with the ladies on the outside. I think the match would have been better that way. Some great spots for a RAW contest with Ziggler's release German and Morrison's Flying Chuck. I would, however, instead of having Morrison hit Starship Pain for the win, just have him use the Shining Wizard. Overall, I think this match would be better.
Reason for The Change: Trish was working pretty sloppily that night, and we've seen enough of Vickie and Trish in the ring. Let's give the fans what they want and that's Ziggler vs. Morrison.
Fifth Match: Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus for The United States Title
Great match between these two. Enjoyed it, and would only change one thing. During the spot where Sheamus hit a running knee lift on the apron, I'd turn that into a Brogue Kick and make it a false finish with Daniel getting the rope break. Won't get into Sin Cara's debut, because it was great. He botched his entrance, but still, impressive.
Reason for change: A false finish is always pretty cool, and probably would have made the match a bit longer.
The Rock vs. John Cena announcement: This was a great promo between the two. Cena opening wasn't bad. Less jokes would have been awesome, but props for putting over The Miz, but I wanna see Cena get angry. He's always smiling like nothing phases him (almost sounds heelish, sort of like Alberto Del Rio).
Anyway, it was a great job, though I feel The Rock carried Cena for most, if not the entire thing. The only change I can think of is to nix the run in by The Corre. Made no sense whatsoever. The thing could have ended perfectly with both men striking their poses in the ring/on the ramp.
Reason for change: The Corre weren't needed for this.
Thus ends my version of how RAW would have gone after Mania. Tell me what you think and if you have any thoughts on it. How'd I do? Constructive criticism is always welcome.
