Mr. Blatter, Please Be Quiet
We all have opinions, many of them ill-informed and knee jerk reactions, to the day's or week's events.
We have our favourite subjects, be that football or finance, international politics or the cost of spaghetti in a tin, but rarely do any of us have the opportunity to voice them.
I feel that even if we were offered the opportunity to make a royal tit out of ourselves by picking up a microphone and spouting drivel, we would likely refuse the chance and remain anonymous—there's comfort in that.

Well Sepp Blatter travels a much more public course, and its not exactly finding favour with me.
Why do we have to hear about Mr. Blatter's every thought relating to football around the world?
He may well want to control every aspect of the game from atop the highest hill, but the more he rants, the less likely he is to achieve anything.
He expects football to be given special privileges and dispensations to achieve many things.
He wants to impose limits on foreign players (contrary to European Law).
He has asked for women footballers to wear skimpier kits (contrary to good taste and sense).
He has dictated that players given a red card are immediately suspended even if TV evidence subsequently shows the players innocence (contrary to common law).
Bolivia's national stadium cannot hosts games as it is above Batter's self-styled altitude limits.
I am sure the world according to Sepp would be a wonderful place, if your name is Sepp.
Perhaps I am being unkind, but taking an old saying, Sepp, isn't it better to remain silent and so not prove you're an idiot?
