Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho Competing for Inter Coaching Job?

According to the Italian Sports Magazine Tuttosport, Pep Guardiola (FC Barcelona coach) visited Italy. The purpose of his visit was a discussion with Massimo Moratti (Inter Milan President) about coaching the Serie A Team.

The meeting comes at a time when Inter is recovering from its defeat to Schalke. The defeat has not helped the position of Inter's current coach Leonardo.

Leonardo (at one point) offered his resignation as coach to Moratti but it was refused. Regardless, Leonardo remains under intense scrutiny.

Pep Guardiola has a contract with FC Barcelona that will expire in June 2012. Guardiola has already expressed a desire to find new opportunities if available.

Guardiola has also expressed a desire to leave Barca early if the opportunity arises.

Guardiola is not the only one coveting the position as coach of Inter. Jose Mourinho has expressed an interest in the position as well after being in Real Madrid.

While Moratti may want Mourinho to return, he is waiting for the results of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and the Copa Final.

I am of the opinion that FC Barcelona will win in La Liga, and defeat Real Madrid in La Liga. FC Barcelona will also emerge victorious in the Copa Final.

The result of FC Barcelona's victory will be Pep Guardiola leaving Barca and accepting the position of Inter coach. Guardiola would have ended his period with Barca in glory. Mourinho will probably end up in the English Premier League if there is an opportunity.
