WWE WrestleMania 27 Results: 10 Best Mask Vs. Mask Matches Ever

The Mask vs. Mask match at WrestleMania 27 has brought up a conversation about what are the best Mask vs. Mask matches of all time.

This article will bring to light the best Mask vs. Mask matches that I could find.  There might be better ones that have been fought years before video, but these that I have found and went over and above the call of wrestling.

The Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio match was a brutal showing of how sinister a masked wrestler really can be.  I hope that the rest of these matches, for your viewing and discussion pleasure, are top par and will not leave anything lacking.

I have searched across the globe and even in our own back yard to find the most enjoyable and most daring Mask vs. Mask matches there is video of.

With a long heritage like Blue Demon vs. Santo before all of these men, I can't wait for you to see how incredible wrestlers all of these men are.

#10: Ultimo Dragon, Jushin Liger & the Great Sasuke Vs. Tiger Mask I, III, IV

This match is a great match to start off the list with.  I would suggest watching Parts 1 and 2 on YouTube as well. 

This match pits Ultimo Dragon, Jushin Liger and The Great Sasuke vs three of the four Tiger Masks.

Watch the ending and see how crazy the fans go over the finish.  This is a really well-fought battle.

#9: Rey Misterio Vs. Psicosis

An ECW classic match featuring not only Rey Mysterio, but also Psicosis. 

Not only is it a great match between two amazing competitors it is a Mexican Death Match, or pretty much what you could call a Last Man Standing Match on crack.

They brutalize each other the entire match and take some pretty nasty bumps.  Also, while you're watching, remember this is only No. 9!

#8: La Parka Vs. Psychosis

And look who's back for No. 8...it seems Psychosis just can't get enough of good Lucha Libre Mask vs Mask matches.

In this installment, we will witness a match at Spring Stampede from the WCW days.  This match not only is entertaining, but it is technically sound. 

It is only No. 8, but dear God how great a No. 8 it is.

#7: Rey Mysterio Vs. Juventud Guerrera

Another ECW event and this time it is from the Big Apple Blizzard.  If you enjoyed Nos. 10, 9, and 8, then this match will blow your socks off.

Rey Mysterio and Juventud Guerrera have battled countless times and many of them have happened in ECW.  This match, however, is the best match that I have ever seen between the two.

The ECW faithful definitely get behind the two as they up the ante with every single move.  Deserving of being No. 1 on this list, but also it's only No. 7.

#6: Tiger Mask Vs. Black Tiger

From one storied rivalry to another.  The Tiger Mask vs Black Tiger rivalry has lit up the Japanese Circuit of wrestling for years, with as many as five different Tiger Masks and Black Tigers joining in on the fun.

We get to witness a good match that tells an even better story.

The feud here is about much more than hatred, but a growing need to destroy the other competitor at all costs.

#5: Kane Vs. Mankind

This Monday Night RAW match was amazing and deserving of the No. 5 spot.

Not only does this match involve a great storyline, but the competitors take advantage of every opportunity to make the match even more memorable and gruesome.

Kane vs Mick Foley's Mankind is a Mask vs. Mask match that needed to make this list because not only are the two men very dominant Superstars, they are also much like the Lucha Libre stars who have donned masks before them.

They are willing to risk their bodies to give us fans a match we will never forget.

#4: La Parka Vs. Lizmark

Not only does this match take place on one of the grandest stages of them all, TripleMania, it is also from the first TripleMania and contains not only the coveted La Parka, but also the legendary Lizmark.

Named after the battle ship Bismark, Lizmark himself is a wrecking machine waiting to strike and prove his grandeur.

This match is a classic and is ready to prove the worth of both of these stars.

#3: MIl Mascaras Vs. the Destroyer

Pure wrestling greatness at its finest. Please do yourself a favor and watch all four parts of this match.

All the way from 1974, this match is still an amazing feat of performance.  The story is impeccable and the style of wrestling is even more exciting than the high flying style of today.

#2: Rey Mysterio Vs. Ultimo Dragon

These two men have been praised all over the world for their ability to perform above and beyond what has been asked of them.  In this match, they prove that.

Both Rey Mysterio and Ultimo Dragon put on a very good show, and it does not leave you lacking.

I know that this and the last slide will draw some ire because I do not have any of The Legendary Masked Wrestlers that come before them, but these competitors have proven above and beyond that they are worthy of being told they have had the best Mask vs. Mask matches.

#1: La Parka & Psycosis Vs. Rey Mysterio & Juventud Guerrera

A match that was just on Monday Nitro, but this match is the classic of all classics in my mind.

There are matches that can put flame to this, but the flames just don't shine bright enough.

This match does not only contain four of the greatest masked wrestlers all time, but it contains some of the greatest moments of Lucha Libre you will ever feast your eyes upon.
