Jason 'Mayhem' Miller Calls out Sonnen and Bisping; Wants To Coach on TUF 14

John HeinisApr 6, 2011

Strikeforce middleweight Jason Miller did not get his “Mayhem” nickname by being a modest man in the ring, and apparently not outside of it either.

In the midst of the controversy surrounding season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, Miller decided to voice his opinion.

Throwing a tweet the way of UFC President Dana White, Miller said: “Chael can't make it to the party? I'd happily be the American Hero. Put me on TUF, watch the ratings explode.”

Given Chael Sonnen’s problems with Keith Kizer and the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) in general, it is probably not a bad idea to consider other candidates for the TUF coaching job in September.

Besides, it’s not like Miller was trying to talk down to Sonnen or Bisping, right?

Wrong.

While speaking to MMAFighting.com, Mayhem elaborated on what he thinks about the tentative TUF 14 coaching combination of Sonnen and Bisping.

“First of all, I’m glad that the Ultimate Fighter is getting back on track by putting two guys who are going to be vastly entertaining on the television,” Miller stated.

Nothing out of the ordinary, there are plenty of fans and fighters alike who share that sentiment.

However, Miller’s next comments took the conversation in a completely different direction.

“You got the Republitard vs. The Limey.  It’s going to be great.  It’s a step in the right direction.  But I still say, give me a break.  I’m way more entertaining, and I’ll beat both these guys up.”

Miller has also advised his fans, which he affectionately calls “Mayhem Monkeys”, to “twitter bomb” Dana White, and anyone else who is relevant in regards to The Ultimate Fighter, so that he can petition his way onto the show for next season.

Keep your ears pealed for when Mr. Sonnen responds, and “The Count” Michael Bisping is not likely too far behind with some sort of verbal retaliation.

Interestingly, both “Uncle Chael” and Miller both train at Team Quest and Sonnen was actually the first person to hand Mayhem a professional loss way back at the Hitman Fighting Productions “Rumble on the Reservation”.

Sonnen won via unanimous decision, but it is worth knowing that the fight was only two rounds and that it took place in March of 2002.

Miller is currently on a two fight win streak, although he has not fought since September of last year.

In the same interview, he claimed that Strikeforce welterweight champ Nick Diaz “ducked” him in regards to a fight that seemed like a no brainer after the infamous Strikeforce: Nashville brawl.

Miller’s logic was that Diaz asked for a $2 million dollar purse for the fight, knowing that Strikeforce would never pay a fighter something that extravagant for one fight.
