Detroit Red Wings: This Is an Away Game? 5 Biggest Fan Showings on the Road

One thing I love absolutely love about being a Wings fan—I'm never alone.  

I have gone Detroit Red Wings away games, both in the playoffs and in the regular season, and at every one there is always a huge showing of red and white.  I never feel alone, isolated,or worried about anything at a road game.  This is because there usually is someone right by me wearing the same jersey.

Some call us obnoxious fair-weather fans, but that's not the case.  Wings fans are just prideful and passionate, and love to wear their red and white as much as possible.  

There is no real point to this article.  It's just for fun, and all the games are from this year alone.  There are probably a lot more games I did not mention that should be on this list. GO WINGS!

Red Wings @ Coyotes: 3/5/11

Phoenix.  A place where Red Wings fans usually and frequently take over.  Even in the playoffs, Red Wings fans were everywhere, loud and proud as always.

Red Wings @ Sabres: 2/26/11

A bit of a random game, but a typical one nonetheless.  Wings fans are in all areas of the country.  In this particular game there was a massive display of red and white in Buffalo.

Red Wings @ Avalanche: 12/27/10

To anyone wondering when the goal will finally be scored, it is at 0:40.

Wings fans always have a good showing at the Pepsi Center when facing off against bitter rival Colorado. This one is extra special because it marked a monumental milestone for goaltender Chris Osgood.

Red Wings @ Panthers: 2/18/11

Another big showing of red and white in Florida, just one night after Wings fans totally took over Tampa Bay.  Similar to that game, Wings fans were abundant all across the arena. It was an overall huge showing in the state of Florida for the Red Wings that weekend, and both games resulted in victories.

This game was definitely the worst, and that is why it is the only video I ranked.

This was a home game.

Wings fans reportedly took up about two thirds of the arena.  If you've seen the photos from the game or watched it live, you could see the red and white all over the arena.  Red Wings fans took over completely and the Wings dominated 6-2.
