There's a UConn basketball video sweeping across the Internet today, thanks in large part to the Huskies' title game win over Butler.
But, it wasn't what happened on the court that has people talking; instead, it's the behavior of UConn students back in Storrs, Connecticut that has the sports world buzzing.
Typically when a team wins a championship of some sort (or loses a championship, or shows up to play in a championship game), the celebration gets rather raucous. So, it's to be expected that after the Huskies' 53-41 win over Butler on Monday night, things would get crazy in Storrs.
Or, at least, things would try to get crazy. Here we see UConn fans surrounding a car, cheering several guys on as they try to tip it over. Yes, the keyword in that sentence is try.
That's because, unlike every other mischief-making celebrator in recent memory, these UConn fans failed to tip the car, despite the chants of "Tip the car!" from the crowd, and the boos that followed when they gave up.
While I'm not a fan of rioting or vandalism, if you're going to do it, at least do it right.
I'm sure the owner of the car is quite pleased to still have it intact today, but there were fans who weren't so lucky.
Storrs police reported 23 arrests last night, 12 of which were students, and responded to multiple calls regarding criminal mischief, at least two of which involved flipped cars.
