We will have to wait a year, but it will be worth the time.

One night after The Rock cost him the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 27, John Cena called out the People's Champion in the last segment of Monday Night Raw.

Once Rocky joined him in the ring, Cena told him that the time for talking was over, challenging to settle their differences immediately.

The Rock countered with a bigger challenge: a match at the Grandest Stage of All, the main event of WrestleMania 28 at Miami.

John Cena accepted the challenge, shaking hand with The Rock to make it official.

Right after that The Corre appeared to attack both faces, who quickly regained control of the situation and applied their finishers to Wade Barrett and Heath Slater.

My two cents

After receiving mixed reactions from WrestleMania 27, this was a brilliant move by the WWE.

Every wrestling fan wanted this match to happen as soon as possible, but it has "WrestleMania's Main Event" written in stone.

Making the announcement one year in advance was the right decision.

They had other two options: make Cena and Rock keep running their feud for an entire year or letting the People's Champion go for a while and then bringing him back on time for the next Road to WrestleMania.

The first option would have the big risk of getting the feud stale. The second alternative would have made The Rock look weak for a while.

Simpler is usually better. We'll get the match we want on the stage it deserves.

No smoke and mirrors, no teasing, no misleading, plain and simple: you have one year to make plans for WrestleMania 28.
