Wrestlemania 27 Predictions: Who Will Be Victorious at the Showcase of Immortals

Wrestlemania 27 comes to us live on PPV at Atlanta, Georgia, and man, what a night it will be. The hype has reached the level worthy for a Wrestlemania, and everyone is going off with predictions on who will walk out of Wrestlemania with a win. Wrestlemania is the platform where careers are launched, defined, and recently, ended perfectly, where moments are immortalized, and matches are made legendary. A win on the Grandest Stage of Them All is something everyone dreams of.

This is my first ever article over predictions for a PPV, and I thought I no better way to make a debut in this category than with Wrestlemania. Nine matches will decorate the card this year, and while it may not compare to others in the past, I feel that this Wrestlemania will be good nonetheless.

So, let's get down to the predictions, shall we?

The Corre vs Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella, and ???

The Corre takes on Big Show, Kane, Santino, and a possible mystery partner, and unlike what most poeple think, I don't think it's as thrown together last minute as it seems. This confrontation has been building ever since the Corre debuted on Smackdown, attacking Big Show to make a statement. The four equals have terrorized and run roughshod over Smackdown, Big Show doing everything in his power to stop these rebels. Eventually Kane got sucked in, and thanks to Corre's tactics against him, has resolved to put aside his differences with Big Show to fight off Corre. It has now built up to this match at Wrestlemania.

Seriously, the only thing that seems thrown together was the addition of Kozlov and Santino. I know these guys have fought with the Corre several times, but it has seriously been on and off, and it really just makes this match seem less epic than it should be beause of their status as a comedy duo. My opinion, it should've been Kofi and Diesel being on Kane and Big Show's side. But with Kozlov now supposedly injured, either one of these guys could take that spot and be at Wrestlemania, although it seems like Kofi will take the spot.

Still, no matter who the final partner is, I gotta go with the Corre on this one. These guys are being heavily pushed, they have all the gold, and WWE is certainly behind them

Prediction: The Corre

Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan, United States Championship

Now this should be good! Sheamus takes on Daniel Bryan, with his newly won United States Championship on the line. It will be the first time the title is defended at Wrestlemania in four years. Sheamus was on a big losing streak, and because of this, he vowed to quit WWE if he did not win the US Title. Well, the Celtic Warrio rmanaged to pull it through, and beat Bryan for the United States Title. Bryan has elected to invoke his rematch clause at the Grandest Stage of Them All!

Now we know that Daniel Bryan is probably the best wrestler in the world, and Sheamus is pretty damn good himself. These two men are great talents, and its a dream come true for Daniel Bryan as he is finally going to perform at Wrestlemania! With the talents that these two men have, as well as their great match on Raw a couple of weeks ago, this match has the potential to steal the show if given the time.

Sheamus' reign has just begun, and in this era, WWE doesn't make titles reigns that short anymore. So Sheamus will walk out with the win in a great match.

Prediction: Sheamus

Cody Rhodes vs Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio takes on Cody Rhodes in a grudge match! Rey Mysterio broke Cody Rhodes face with an exposed knee brace during a 619. He had to have facial reconstruction,a dn has gone to blame Mysterio for the event. He now wears an ugly mask of sorts because of this, and when he returned, he and his father elaborately set up Rey Mysterio, which allowed Rhodes to beat the crap out of Mysterio and take off his iconic mask. He then challenged Mysterio to a match at Wrestlemania, which the Master of 619 gladly accepted.

Now the talent pool in this match is great. You have one of the greatest Mexican wrestlers in Rey Mysterio, a two-time World Champion, and then you have the second-generation star in Cody Rhodes, where wrestling in his blood. This feud is really personal, and has been built up pretty well, with the two trading advantages over one another. Expect a great match at Wrestlemania.

For me, my vote goes to Cody Rhodes getting the win at Wrestlemania, and being launched to the next level in the WWE.

John Morrison, Snooki, and Trish Stratus vs Dolph Ziggler and LayCool

Why did this match have to happen? Snooki teams with Morrison and Trish to take on Ziggler and Laycool. This came about when Snooki was a guest star on Raw a few weeks ago. She slapped Vickie Guerrero in the face during the show, and also proceeded to get physical with Laycool after being provoked by them. Vickie had just beaten Trish with assistance from Laycool to get her a job on Raw, and frustrated with the turn of events, challenges Snooki, Trish, and Morrison to a match at Wrestlemania against Ziggler and Laycool.

Now I'm not a fan of this match! Why? Because I hate Jershey Shore, and Snooki has no business in wrestling. Now I understand celebrities being at Wrestlemania, how it's a tradition and whatnot, and how it will increase buyrates, but Floyd Maywheather and Lawrence Taylor were at least professional athletes who knew what they were doing. Snooki has no clue, and this is an insult to the skills of Morrison and Ziggler, especially Morrison who I'm a big fan of. Still, the handicap match a few weeks ago gave me some hope for a good match.

Celebrities never lose, so Snooki's team will get the win, with the orange midget hopefully having limited involvement in the match.

Prediction: John Morrison, Snooki, and Trish Stratus

Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole, Special Referee Stone Cold Steve Austin

I cannot wait for this match! Jerry Lawler faces Michael Cole, who will have Jack Swagger in his corner, with Stone Cold as the ref. Ever since he turned heel, Cole has become one of the most hated men ever in wrestling, and people are begging for him to finally get his ass kicked. His has developed a hatred for Lawler, and has demeaned him on many occassions. Having enough of his new attitude, Lawler challenged him to a match at Mania. Cole accepted if he could choose the ref and the man in his corner. He chose Swagger as his trainer, and tried to get JBL as his ref, but Stone Cold made sure that he would referee this matchup instead.

This match has probably had the best Road to Wrestlemania than any other match on the card. Cole has been a great hee, going so far as to involve Lawler's family into this, and Lawler has done everything to get his hands on Michael Cole. Truly epic. This won't be a wrestling classic, but we'll all be watching for the amazing sight of Michael Cole finally getting his ass handed to him. And with Stone Cold in the miz, prepare to see a few Stunners here and there.

The choice is obvious, Jerry Lawler wins after beat the holy hell out of Michael Cole in his first ever Wrestlemania match.

Prediction: Jerry Lawler

Randy Orton vs CM Punk

Now we are getting to the really good stuff! Randy Orton goes one-on-one with CM Punk in a battle for vengeance. This all started when Punk cost Orton the WWE Title at Royal Rumble. He later revealed the reason why was because of being punted in the head two years ago by Orton and was forced to give up the World Title. Punk's waited two years to get his ultimate revenge on Orton, and he decided that now was the time to do so! The tension and hatred has reached a boiling point with attacks and ambushes, and the Raw GM is having these two finally meet at Wrestlemania.

This is probably one of the most anticpated matches in recent memory. The build-up has been awesome, with Orton taking out the New Nexus one by one with punts to the head, and Punk retaliating with savage attacks and taking out his punting leg. The backstory adds more to the personal feud, and it is being said by fans to be the most likely show-stealer of the night. With the talents of these men combined, along with a great build-up, prepare for a possible classic.

This is one of the tougher decisions of the night, but in the end, I gotta go with Randy Orton. Though that doesn't mean this feud will be over by a long shot.

Edge vs Alberto Del Rio, World Heavyweight Championship

The World Heavyweight Championship is on the line as Del Rio tries to realize his destiny against Edge, with Brodus Clay and Christian in their respective corners. Alberto Del Rio shockingly won the Royal Rumble, and decided to challenge for the World Title at Wrestlemania, and Edge secured his spot by retaining the title at Elimination Chamber. It was the classic Rumble Winner vs Champion, but then the return of Christian changed everything, adding a more personal level. The two have been at each other's throats, attacking and standing tall over one another at several points of the build.

The build for the match has been very excellent, with it being very back and forth between the two. The return of Christian added a very personal layer much needed for the match,a dn the intensity has only risen from there. I was really hoping for a Triple Threat with Christian in, but with he and Clay in the corners of the two men, and the rumors of a Christian heel turn running rampant, anything can happen. And with Del Rio so determined to realize his "destiny," and Edge on a Wrestlemania losing streak, it's a must-win situation for both men.

But no matter what happens, I just can't see Edge walking out with the World Heavyweight Title.

Triple H vs Undertaker, No Holds Barred

The War of Wars will happen when Triple faces Undertaker in No Holds Barred with the Streak on the line! When 2-21-11 happened, we were treated to not only the return of Undertaker, but also of the Game, Triple H! The two had an epic, intense staredown with no words spoken as the silently agreed to face off at Wrestlemania. The two icons talked about each otehr over the past few weeks, and it has been emphasized that when Undertaker's Streak dies, so does he, and Triple H will die trying if he can't break it. But nobody believes he can do it, even Shawn Michaels himself doesn't think he can.

The mere mention of these two in the same ring can send chills up a spine. While the build can be debated, this past Monday has truly questioned if Triple H can break the Streak, and truly change some of our minds if he can do it. These two have met before at Wrestlemania X-Seven, and Triple H lost. But it was not about the Streak then, and there were rules involved. This time, the Streak is everything, and with it being No Holds Barred, Triple H is in his yard as he can be an evil, sadistic bastard. Prepare for a war in Atlant, Georgia.

But no matter what Triple H does, when it's all said and done, he will not only be number nine, but also number 19.

Prediction: The Undertaker

The Miz vs John Cena, WWE Championship

And here we are, the most anticipated match on the card, John Cena and Miz will do battle for the richest prize in the business, the WWE Championsip. Cena was screwed at the Royal Rumble by Miz, but earned himself his opportunity at Wrestlemania at Elimination Chamber. But then the Rock shockingly returned, and then the unthinkable happens, the Rock vs Cena feud happens as the war of words betwen the two begins. But determined not to be an afterthough, Miz has dominated Cena for a month, but Cena will not back down and is now taking Miz seriously, and is ready to kick some ass at Wrestlemania.

Easily, and shockingly, the most unpredictable match on the card, the addition of the Rock into this feud has truly threw everyone off. Some are even predicintg Miz will actually retain the title. We are seeing what we thought would never happen in Cena/Rock, and the Miz is proving he is the real deal. After this past Raw, there is no telling what will happen when it comes to this match, but without a doubt, this three-way feud will come to an explosive climax at Wrestlemania, and it could very well decide the future of the WWE.

When the smoke clears, I see John Cena standing tall with the WWE Championship, but will it be as a face...or as a heel?

Well there you have it: My own personal predictions for what will happen at Wrestlemania 27. This is certainly one of the most unpredictable Wrestlemanias in recent memory, and it will certainly deliver in my opinion. It may very well shake the foundation of the WWE, and Atlanta, Georgia will have a night it will never forget.

I will be watching Wrestlemania 27 on PPV, and I recommend you all do so too. Wrestlemania will prove to be historic. What Mania moments will be created? Who will walk out victorious? Who will have a win nothced under their belt at the biggest stage in wrestling? All these questions will be answered tonight.
