WWE WrestleMania 27: Odds, Predictions of Every Match in Atlanta
WWE WrestleMania 27 emanates live from Atlanta, Georgia this Sunday. Getting in on the hype of the annual spectacular, Bodog.com has released betting lines on the event as the oddsmakers have released betting lines for all nine of the WrestleMania matches.
Given the fact that pro wrestling is fixed sports entertainment, Bodog should have taken this a step further and handed down some prop bets of things that nobody knows may or may not happen. Prop bets could have included, but not have been limited to:
-Over/Under beaver shots for Snooki
-Odds that Snooki is trashed before WrestleMania
-Odds that Snooki is trashed during WrestleMania
-Odds that Snooki is trashed after WrestleMania
-Odds that Snooki is hungover, sleeps in and misses WrestleMania...

Rey Mysterio (+120) over Cody Rhodes (-160)
1 of 9
Rey Mysterio has immense value as an underdog as Cody Rhodes' deep, dark character development is still under construction.
While Rhodes is indeed promising, and could establish himself as a major player in this match, however I can't help but feel that the purpose of this match is to further Rhodes along in his progression without finishing the job by having him go over on such a big stage.
Speculation has creeped around Rey Mysterio Jr. that he has become jealous of the soon-to-be-debuting Sin Cara, with some reports suggesting that Mysterio Jr. has even asked for his release. It is possible that WWE could firmly combat these new rumors, while making strides in creating a new star in Cody Rhodes, with Mysterio Jr. going over in a spectacular match.
Randy Orton (-170) over CM Punk (+250)
2 of 9
This will be one of the more intriguing betting options as this is a feud that could go either way. The Orton/Punk feud has been going back and forth for weeks with Orton started off getting the majority of the heat early only for CM Punk to come storming back.
Orton-Punk is one of a small handful of matches on this card that could be viewed as a toss up with both Superstars looking during different points of the feud.
Punk was robbed of his time with Rey Mysterio Jr. at last year's WrestleMania in a match that should have and would have stolen the show if given the appropriate length. I see Punk more than making up for it with a great match in a high profile feud with Orton.
Morrison, Snooki, and Trish Stratus (-1600) over Laycool and Ziggler (+800)
3 of 9
Celebrities have an excellent track record when performing at WrestleMania, so it's no wonder the oddsmakers made team Snooki (and really Trish, who left WWE in 2006) a hefty favorite.
Provided she's sober, which is a stretch, Snooki has potential to overachieve as she showed impressive athletic abilities in her Lou Thez press of Layla, showing off a 2,600 inch vertical.
Morrison will likely get the pin in order to atone for being pinned by Vickie Guerrero.
Sheamus (-250) over Daniel Bryan (+170)
4 of 9
Sheamus' (non-drug related) road to recovery should see him claim a victory over Daniel Bryan in an under-the-radar match that could steal the show.
If President Barack Obama won the facebook election, and the Miz is the WWE champion that twitter put over, then Daniel Bryan's first WrestleMania appearance makes WrestleMania 27 the Internet WrestleMania. Such fanfare should garnish a significant amount of emotional involvement from an Atlanta crowd that will have its share of older, "smart" fans.
Alberto Del Rio (-500) over Edge (+300)
5 of 9
This is one of the higher value picks on the board with Alberto Del Rio a modest favorite over Edge. Rumblings backstage have it that the office is very high on Del Rio, and have had long term plans to put the belt on the Mexican Superstar for quite some time. Always being savvy, the oddsmakers surely caught wind of this with Del Rio a sizable favorite despite competing in his first ever WrestleMania.
Del Rio has been on the wrong side of the win-loss record as of late, which should be a tip off that WWE is likely trying to add suspense to this feud by making it appear as if he will not walk out of the Georgia Dome with the World Heavyweight Championship, but all signs indicate he will.
Undertaker (-1600) over Triple H (+600)
6 of 9
While this one is a no brainer, with Taker tied with Lawler as the biggest favorite on the board and looking to extend his WreslteMania win streak to 19-0, the addition of backstage maven Triple H adds a neat little tweak to this match internally.
Triple H has gone on record in saying nobody should ever beat the streak. With the most recent Taker-Triple H RAW segment concluding with Shawn Michaels insisting that Triple H would not win, perhaps the door is creaked slightly open for Triple H to suck the life out of the Georgia Dome with a shocking win come Sunday.
But I wouldn't bet on that. Literally.
CORRE over Santino Marella, Vladimir Koslov, Kane, & Big Show
7 of 9
This one's off the board as it appears that even the oddsmakers coudl care less about this match. Tails means I picked CORRE.
The Miz (+300) over John Cena (-180)
8 of 9
Something just doesn't sit well with me as it pertains to John Cena's chances at Mania. Sure, Miz has gotten the brunt of the heat leading into their tilt, but the fact that WWE just tweaked the belt to his liking may be an indication that he will be the champion for the long haul.
Miz has virtually replaced John Cena as WWE's everywhere man.
As my colleagues and I awaited John Cena during the WrestleMania 26 press conference a year ago, we debated whether or not John Cena sleeps due to the copious amounts of promotional appearance he makes on WWE's behalf.
Now, such a veiled compliment is befitting of the Miz, who walks into WrestleMania as the best bet underdog in terms of value. If this WrestleMania is truly about the next generation, like Vince McMahon has said in shareholder meetings despite loading up on the old guard for this year's show, Miz almost has to go over.
Jerry Lawler (-1600) over Michael Cole (+800)
9 of 9
Jerry Lawler over Michael Cole. Michael Cole could make a select group of cole miners rich sunday night if he manages to pull off what would be a monumental upset over Jerry Lawler. WWE has been very careful not to let anybody inflict physical harm on michael cole for months on television, all tremendously leading up to a wrestlemania match with Lawler where Cole is sure to get his comeuppance.
Cole's revolutionary and ratings drawing play-by-play heel announcer act, an act that purists condemned because 'rasslin' announcers are supposed to be heels', has sparked
Comparisons with the late Andy Kaufman. So here's to hoping Cole trots out to the three bob's, wearing soccer shorts over a body suit.
