Tim Tebow Jockey Ad: Watch Denver Broncos Star in Worst Commercial Ever

You know, as uncomfortable as it would have made me to watch Tim Tebow in a pair of Jockey boxer briefs laid out like a pinup girl, I would have thought better of that commercial than this.

Worst. Commercial. Ever.

The statement does not include the local commercials done for $45 and played in between cable access shows with titles like Faith Friday and Woman on TV.

For a company that has millions of ad dollars to spend and well-educated ad execs, you would have thought their pitch to Tim Tebow would have been better than the following:

“Tim, awesome idea here, buddy. You, walking aimlessly with a white shirt on. And get this: Everyone is looking at you. Not because they are trying to figure out why you were drafted in the first round, and not because they are looking for your halo, but because your shirt is that AWESOME and cool. Literally and figuratively. We are going to have a series of water sports on your shirt. Stuff like surfing and...oceans...and planes. Cool stuff.”

Tim either had two responses when he got this pitch:

“Guys...I’m thinking Emmy.”

Or:

“How much does this pay?”

Seriously, water sports on a t-shirt? I understand it’s to promote a line of Jockey shirts that keep you cool, but couldn’t you have had Tebow sitting next to a sweaty guy? Or Tebow looking dry after a workout? Or Tebow just telling us to buy these shirts?

Will I go buy the shirt? Yes...yes, I will...but if by the end of the first day there isn’t someone skiing on a mountain, I’m going to be really upset.

Thank you, Jockey, for wasting Tim Tebow in an ad spot that could have been done by me—and thank you for assuming we are too stupid to understand the idea of cooling technology.

Tim Tebow: Next time go with boxers. It’s slightly less embarrassing.
