Wrestlemania 27 and 10 Bold Predictions to Take Place at the Event
April 3rd, 2011, the WWE will be invading Atlanta for Wrestlemania 27. This card, while started out as slow, has built up into potentially one of the best/most hyped in years. With an impressive celebrity guest list and The Rock as the guest host, Wrestlemania almost has no choice but to excite the fans.
In this article, I will make 10 bold predictions that I believe will take place this Sunday.
10. Cody Rhodes will defeat Rey Mysterio, and make a huge leap in his career.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Win, lose or draw, Cody Rhodes has the chance to skyrocket his career. He has always had the talent, and the family name helps, but in this case he can make himself big on his own.
Rey Mysterio is the perfect opponent to have to have a memorable Wrestlemania match. Odds are this is the opening contest, and it will take place right after the the pre-show battle royal. Will Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio set the bar high for the rest of the event? Odds are, yes.
9. The 8 man tag match between The Corre and Santino, Kozlov, Big Show, and Kane will be a partially entertaining, but just a spot filler kinda match.
This seems like the match that is taking the place of the money in the bank match. This match partially makes no sense. I know that it is part of the storyline, but it just has no appeal to it. Wade Barrett should be in a one on one match defending his Intercontenental Championship instead. Just my two cents.
8. Daniel Bryan will defeat Sheamus, and it will be similar to Andre vs. Hogan at Wrestlemania III, except not as big of a match.
Sheamus is a great heel, but has received heat from some backstage, which led to his downplay in role. Daniel Bryan is the guy who has the well rounded skill set and has the potential to be a show stealer at Wrestlemania.
Bryan and Sheamus are two of the biggest acquisitions that the WWE has had in years. This match sounds partially odd on paper, and it looks as if Sheamus should win, but that is exactly why you should expect Bryan to win this, and really set his name above just mid card status.
Sheamus on the other hand is a question mark. It's hard to tell what will take place post-Wrestlemania. If he loses, does he go back into the WWE title picture? There is no telling, but one thing is that this match is very underrated and has potential to really impress.
7. The publicity stunt of Snooki in WWE will be one of the worst in ring debuts of all time.
Sadly, WWE is copying TNA.
Bringing in Snooki isn't even a great idea. It may bring a few viewers, but to throw her into a match at Wrestlemania is just not very smart. Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison will save this match. They are two of the best performers on the roster.
Odds are we will see many botched moves in this match, but the amazing performances by Ziggler and Morrison will make you forget that. Should I even pick who is going to win? This is an example of a common sense outcome type of match.
6. Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler will be one of the main highlights of the card.
This match at first sounded like a dumb idea, but thanks to creative this match is now a must see. Odds are Swagger will interfere and receive a stunner, and King will win, which will lead to King and Stone Cold celebrating with a beer bash.
Not really expecting much on the match side, but more on the humorous, acting side of things.
5. CM Punk vs. Randy Orton will end Nexus officially, and receive a huge pop from the crowd.
This match is an awesome match up. What is bad about this match? The fact that it is a mid card type match up. This may be the best overall match of the night, but may be forgotten due to what takes place after.
I personally hope this goes down as an all time great match, because truthfully this is the only reason I'm attending Wrestlemania. Fingers crossed on an epic battle.
4. We will have a new World Heavyweight Champion.
Alberto Del Rio has come into WWE and really lived up to his promos. He is an amazing talent, and an opponent like Edge can only mean that this will be a good match.
He has been put in the main spotlight faster than anyone that I can personally think of. There is virtually a small chance that Del Rio does not walk out of Wrestlemania as champion.
3. The Undertaker will be 19-0 on April fourth.
Every single year, people say the streak will end. There are so many different conspiracies brought up on why it will happen. There is a chance it could end, but not at this Wrestlemania. HHH is the perfect opponent for Undertaker, since he is coming off of injury.
Odds are we will see many close falls for HHH. Near the match end what should happen is; HHH hits a pedigree that is really the nail in the coffin to end the match, then out of no where HBK lands the sweet chin music in some kind of jealous manner and "costs" HHH the match.
Either way, expect a good match. But don't expect it to compare to the HBK vs. Undertaker classics.
2. John Cena vs The Miz will set up for each a future match up with The Rock.
This is the headliner. Will John Cena walk out as champion? Odds are yes. This match will be back and fourth and we will see a few of each man's finishers, ending with an attitude adjustment.
Odds are at the end of the match, The Rock will get his revenge and lay out Cena to close the show. Somehow we will see The Miz vs The Rock with the winner getting Cena at Summerslam (just a guess). The Rock has recently said that he has a few matches left in him, so why not make it happen?
1. Jim Ross will call Wrestlemania.
Jim Ross has said that he has no idea about who is calling Wrestlemania. It's common sense that they are keeping it a secret to please and shock the crowd. Ross could be the man to save the card in its weak points. He can make a paint drying contest entertaining.
After a solid look this Wrestlemania, it should be a good show, but not the greatest of all time. However, it has potential for the greatest lead ups of all time, with the possibility of The Rock returning to action.
This card we will see the Tough Enough contestants, past legends and new Hall of Fame inductees. So many things can truly happen on this card, but that truly depends on where WWE wants to take it.
Hope everyone enjoys the event and thanks for reading.
