Loose Canons: WWE's Top 10 Hot Heads

Josh GMar 28, 2011

Over the years we've seen many Hot Heads in the WWE, some more violent, angry, and deranged than others.  This list looks at the top 10 Hot Heads ever in the WWE.  From monstrous moves, to angry betrayals, to violent attacks, each superstar on this list follows one of these categories.

CM Punk

1 of 11

CM Punk has all the necessary features of a Loos Canon.  He's unpredictable, angry, and violent.  He's provided some of the most entertaining and interesting matches and segments since his WWE career began in 2006.  From smashing a guitar over the head of Chavo Guerrero, to just recently standing on top of the titan tron on Raw giving a promo and making his members of the New Nexus go through painful acts to prove their worthiness such as being whipped and caned.  He is without a doubt one of WWE's biggest superstars, and one of the biggest Hot Heads ever.

Chris Jericho

2 of 11

Chris Jericho has had his share of Hot Headed moments in his career.  His entire gimmick as a heel was  Narcissistic Hot Head, especially in his latest run.  Jericho has used his dreaded Walls of Jericho on diva's such as Trish Stratus, Lita, Chyna, and Stacey Keibler, and who could forget how he smashed Shawn Michael's face into the "Jeri-Tron" on the highlight reel just for disagreeing with him over the ways Shawn had beaten Ric Flair and Batista?

Eddie Guerrero

3 of 11

Eddie Guerrero was yet another great superstar with a temper.  He was famous for his violent rages once he got angry.  Remember when he turned on Rey Mysterio and suplexed him on the steel steps?  How about the Dominick Custody storyline where he would try breaking Mysterio's family apart by revealing he was the real father of Dominick.  Another moment that comes to mind was when he teamed with Tajiri and lost the tag team titles, then suplexed Tajiri on his car for losing the match.  Guerrero was without a doubt a Loose Canon, and a Hot Head, but he will be missed as he was one of the most loved superstars ever.

Steve Austin

4 of 11

Steve Austin was one of the most violent Hot Heads ever.  He was known for giving superstars a stunner and attacking them just for being in the same ring as him, even after sharing a beer with them at the end of a match.  He was rebellious, angry, mean, and violent.  He attacked announcers, commentators, diva's, security guards, police officers, general managers, the chairmen, wrestlers, you name it.  He was the definition of rough and tough as he brawled his way to get multiple titles throughout his career.

Batista

5 of 11

Batista was The Animal.  A man who destroyed and man handled countless people in his career.  His time in Evolution was unforgettable as he would take out someone with a simple clothesline, or when he choked Shawn Michaels with his bare hands until he bled.  Even after turning face he kept his animalistic gimmick where he used his power and strength to capture six world titles during his time in WWE.  In 2010 he finally turned heel again after attacking and betraying long time friend Rey Mysterio just because he felt Mysterio caused him the title.  He would brutalize superstars with steel chairs, and his pure rage until he quit WWE in 2010 after being defeated by John Cena at Over The Limit.

Triple H

6 of 11

Triple H, master of the sledgehammer.  He's made countless people bleed with that very weapon.  Whether he'll hit you in the head, or the chest, or the gut, you can pretty much count yourself out.  He's one of the most violent and Hot Headed superstars ever thanks to his willingness to do whatever it takes to win and how much he likes using weapons to do so and inflict punishment on whoever he faces.  He was most violent during the years 2000 to 2005, where he had left DX and began to make a name of his own.  He has had soem of the most classic violent matches ever with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley,. The Rock, Steve Austin, Undetaker, Vince McMahon, Kane, Kurt Angle, and Chris Jericho, among many others.  Like Eddie Guerrero and Batista, how can anyone forget when he turned on his long time friend (Shawn Michaels in his case) and began a huge, brutal feud between the two that lasted quite a few years.

Edge

7 of 11

Edge, The Rated R Superstar, has been in countless violent matches, feuds, and segments.  He is the creator of the Conchairto, a move in which a steel chair is placed under the opponents head and another is smashed against the opponents head.  He's unpredictable, and a perfect fit on this list for his Hot Headed style (specifically from 2005 - 2010) where he was finally given the push he deserved and has gone on to win over ten world titles.  He had a legendary hardcore match against Mick Foley where he put him through a flaming table with a spear, and with his 2005 feud with Matt Hardy where Edge and Hardy attacked each other numerous times.

Kane

8 of 11

Kane is the definition of monster.  He's violent, scary, unpredictable, and impossible to control.  He's set people on fire, bludgeoned people, and sent countless people to Hell with his monstrous and dangerous style.  His matches with people such as Steve Austin, Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Shane McMahon, and Triple H just to name a few, are not for the faint of heart.  You always never know what he'll do, and who's side he is on.

Randy Orton

9 of 11

Randy Orton has become another one of the most violent, unpredictable superstars ever.  You never know what he will do, and who he will attack with either his RKO or even worse, the Punt.  Numerous people have been taken out with that move, such as Batista, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, and Triple H, among many others.  He started his career as a third generation rookie, turned heel and became an arrogant, self centered villain known as "The Legend Killer", then he finally changed himself into what he is now, "The Viper".  With his uncontrollable and unmatched rage, he's definitely one of the biggest Hot Heads in history.

Brian Pillman

10 of 11

Brian Pillman's whole gimmick in WWE was "The Loose Canon".  He was known for being able to turn the crowd for or against him in a matter of seconds.  Anyone who remembers his days in ECW knows he was awesome on the mic, frequently cursing at fans and other wrestlers while doing promo's.  He had very memorable feud with Goldust, where he beat Goldust to earn the right to sleep with Marlena (Goldust's wife) and use her as a manager.  He had a weekly vignette called "Brian Pillman's XXX File's" which he used to taunt Goldust while doing various sexual acts with her among other things. You could have said he was the "Rated R Superstar" even before Edge was.  Another big moment he had was during his feud with Steve Austin where he pulled a gun on Austin after he broke into Pillman's home to attack him.  Pillman was a one of a kind superstar and would of without a doubt been WWE Champion if he had not of sadly passed away.
