WWE WrestleMania 27: 5 Ways the Rock Will Get Physically Involved

Bryan FloryJun 7, 2018

On February 14th, when the world learned that The Rock would be returning to WWE, we all had the same question.

Yeah, but when will he return to the ring?

While we all would like to see The Rock vs. John Cena at some point, there is a 99.99 percent chance that will not happen at WrestleMania 27.

With that said, let's take a look at five ways The Rock might get involved physically at WrestleMania 27.

The Rock Costs the Miz the WWE Championship

1 of 6

What better way to pay the Miz back for mocking him the past few weeks than by having The Rock cost the Miz the WWE Championship?

The way I see this possibly playing out is by having John Cena and The Rock hint at confrontation the whole match.

That will lead the Miz to think that The Rock is on his side, and as he is about to hit the Skull Crushing Finale, The Rock hits him with the Rock Bottom and the People's Elbow.

Cena would then cover the Miz to regain the WWE Title for the 45,323rd time.

Obviously, if you have read any of my previous articles, you know that I do not want this to happen, but it definitely is a very plausible scenario.

The Rock Costs Cena the WWE Championship

This is the most likely situation on the list.

The Rock would interfere at the end of the Cena vs. Miz match, when Cena is about to win the WWE Championship after he hits his normal set (shoulder block, shoulder block, you know the rest).

After Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment, the Rock hits The Rock Bottom and drags the Miz on top of Cena for the three count.

This would ultimately set up The Rock vs. Cena match that we all want to see.

Triple Threat Match: The Rock Vs. the Miz Vs. John Cena

As I wrote earlier this week, Vince McMahon has alerted the key creative writers that The Rock will be returning to the ring at some point.

Well, what if that "some point" is WrestleMania 27?

It's unlikely that they would insert this match last minute, unless they really feel that buy rates will be low for WM.

Otherwise, expect The Rock to make his in ring return at SummerSlam 2011.

Nonetheless, it truly would be one of the greatest WrestleMania moments ever if The Rock were to win the WWE Title, thus coming back to wrestling full time.

The Rock Joins in on Whooping Michael Cole's Candy Ass

4 of 6

The Rock and Michael Cole have had numerous memorable interactions in the past.

This could also play off of Cole interrupting The Rock during his return on Raw, and also would give us one of the ultimate WrestleMania moments by having Stone Cold and The Rock in the ring at the same time for the first time since their epic match at WrestleMania XIX.

While most of us expect that the only interaction The Rock will have at WrestleMania will be with either the Miz or John Cena, remember he is the host of the show, and will most likely insert himself in any situation he wants.

The Rock Attempts to Help End the Streak

5 of 6

Granted this is the most far-fetched possibility of them all, but hang with me for a minute.

The Rock and the Undertaker have had numerous battles throughout the years, but never at WrestleMania.

Next year, the Undertaker would be going for 20-0, and possibly retiring after.

Next year, WrestleMania emanates from Miami, which is The Rock's hometown.

Show me a bigger money match than The Rock vs. the Undertaker at WrestleMania 28.

Now, for the 13 people still reading this since it is sacrilegious to suggest that the streak will end, I'm saying that he attempts to help end the streak; not end it.

Under this scenario, The Rock would for example, Rock Bottom the Undertaker after the Undertaker has hit the Tombstone on Triple H. Therefore, the Undertaker would still be able to kick out of The Rock Bottom and go on to preserve the sacred streak.

Given the time off necessary for both The Rock and the Undertaker, this feud would be able to last a whole year.

Also, if the Undertaker were to take his usual few months off after WrestleMania, it would still give the Rock time to finish his feud with Cena.

Conclusion

6 of 6

While none of us know exactly how it will happen, one thing is for certain: WWE would not spend this much time on the Rock/Cena/Miz storyline and not have The Rock get physically involved.

Tune in to WrestleMania 27, Sunday, April 3rd to witness The Rock lay the smackdown on all of their candy asses.

Hopefully, he will shine up the WWE Title real nice, turn that sum-bitch sideways and stick it straight up both the Miz and Cena's asses.
