Alexander Dimitrenko Knocks out Albert Sosnowski with Uppercut in Round 12

Round-by-round updates will be posted for the heavyweight bout between Alexander Dimitrenko (30-1, 20 KO) and Albert Sosnowski (46-3-1, 28 KO) in Hamburg, Germany. The 12-round bout will be streamed live on BILD.com.

The fight was originally scheduled for December 4 but was canceled when Dimitrenko collapsed in his dressing room moments before the fight.

Round 1—Dimitrenko establishing his jab early as Sosnowski gets closer. Sosnowski having some success when he does get inside, but Dimitrenko's length is causing problems. 10-9 Sosnowski

Round 2—Dimitrenko is throwing double and triple jabs while Sosnowski waits on the outside. Left hook and right lands for Dimitrenko. Takedown by Sosnowski to begin final minute of round. Right hand by Dmitrenko lands hard on Sosnowski. 10-9 Dimitrenko

Round 3—Sosnowski is rough when he gets inside of Dimitrenko's jab. He's trying to bully the bigger guy. Chopping right hand lands for Dimitrenko. Sosnowski runs into another right hand. 10-9 Dimitrenko

Round 4—Another takedown for Sosnowski a minute into the round. Sosnowski charges in but with no damage being done. Dimitrenko has settled into a groove; something Sosnoski should be in after coming out to James Brown during his entrance. Right hand lands for Dimitrenko. 10-9 Dimitrenko

Round 5—Sosnowski swings wide, and Dimitrenko looks comfortable as he lands a huge right hand that backs up his opponent. Dimitrenko is painting Sosnowski with the jab. Sosnowski comes back with a body shot that puts Dimitrenko on the ropes. A right hand by Sosnowski stuns Dimitrenko for a second. Good comeback by Sosnowski. 10-9 Sosnowski

Round 6—Sosnowski comes out early and throws two body shots. Hard jabs being thrown by both fighters. Right hand by Sosnowski puts Dimitrenko on the ropes once more. Dimitrenko looks for a right hand of his own. Referee calls time out to tell one of the fighters' corners to be quiet. Dimitrenko rocks Sosnowski late in the round and almost has him out. Uppercut lands for Dimitrenko with 10 seconds left to go. It was Dimitrenko making the comeback this time. 10-9 Dimitrenko

Round 7—Even first minute to the round. Dimitrenko's right hands are powerful even when they don't land flush. They are knocking Sosnowski off balance. Left hook lands for Dimitrenko. Uppercut by Dimitrenko misses. Sosnowski ends round with straight left. Tough round to score. 10-9 Dimitrenko

Round 8—Sosnowski is pressuring Dimitrenko throughout but isn't landing as many punches. Dimitrenko's jab is on point. Right hand lands for Sosnowski. Solid body shot by Dimitrenko as both fighters fall into another clinch. Thirty seconds to go and still anyone's round. Another close competitive round. 10-9 Sosnowski

Round 9—Dimitrenko is landing the uppercut more in this round. That seems to be his go to punch when Sosnowski jumps inside. Referee kicks someone out of one of Sosnowski's corner. Not sure who it was, but he was yelling a lot. Left hand rocks Sosnowski with 10 seconds to go in a close round. Dmitrenko takes it with that. 10-9 Dimitrenko

Round 10—Uppercut lands for Dimitrenko halfway through the tenth round. Sosnowski still pressuring nonstop. Have to give him credit for that, but he looks tired. Dimitrenko falls over for the third time in the bout after Sosnowski pushes him down. 10-9 Dimitrenko

Round 11—Referee gives Dimitrenko warning for holding even though Sosnowski is the one jumping in with his head. Very sloppy round for both fighters. Good straight left lands for Sosnowski. Dimitrenko gets point deducted for holding. That could be huge if Sosnowski wins this round, which he is. 10-8 Sosnowski

Round 12—Final round, and both fighters try to make a statement. Dimitrenko lands a massive uppercut that puts Sosnowski to sleep!!!
