TNA News: Hulkamania Runs Wild on One of TV's Hottest Shows

For most wrestling fans, Thursday night means WWE Superstars followed by TNA Impact, then call it a night. However last night a big name showed up on a most unorthodox platform.

For those of you who missed it, The Hulkster made a special appearance on American Idol.

During last nights elimination show, two of the contestants were told that they were not safe by host Ryan Seacrest. This usually means that the contestant, or in this case contestants are going home. Seacrest then, followed up saying no you're really not safe.

Then the camera took a wide shot as "Eye of the Tiger" started to play in the background. After the music hit, none other than Hulk Hogan came out from backstage doing the standard Hulkster pose.

However, this Hogan was not the tough bad guy that we are used to seeing week in and week out on TNA. This was the Hogan that we all grew up with, the "safe" Hulk Hogan.

Once he arrived on stage, he told both contestants that they were indeed safe and then revealed that his target was Ryan Seacrest. Once he pointed to Idol host, he hit him with a closed fist sending Seacrest flying into the audience.

Granted, the appearance was very cheesey. However, it was nice seeing Hogan on mainstream TV again.

Turns out the reason for Hogan's appearance, was due to the two contestants being wrestling fans. One was a clearly a bigger fan than the other, as he gave a great reaction for the wrestling legend.
