NFC East: The Quest for Domination
Last Sunday the NFC East lost their chance of going undefeated in non-divisional matchups as the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Chicago Bears by a score of 24-20.
However, the NFC East is still far and away the best division in the NFL, and their performance against non-divisional opponents proves this. NFC East teams are a combined 8-1 against non-NFC East teams and have outscored their opponents by 12.44 points per game on average.
No other conference has an average margin higher than 5.1 points per game.

Here are the updated conference standings for non-divisional games heading into Week Four (Rank, Team, Record, Average Margin):
1. NFC East: 8-1 (12.44)
2. AFC East: 6-2 (4.25)
3. NFC South: 7-3 (5.1)
4. AFC South: 3-3 (-1.33)
5. AFC North: 2-3 (1.6)
6. AFC West: 2-4 (-2.17)
7. NFC North: 3-8 (-4.82)
8. NFC West: 2-7 (-11.89)
Only three of the eight conferences have winning records against teams outside of their own division.
Some of the big non-divisional matchups for this week to look forward to are:
Giants vs. Seahawks
Cowboys vs. Bengals
Dolphins vs. Chargers
Bills vs. Cardinals
Patriots vs. 49ers
Falcons vs. Packers
Panthers vs. Chiefs
Buccaneers vs. Broncos
Saints vs. Vikings
It looks like the NFC South has a very tough week ahead, so they will need some good performances to keep up with the AFC East and NFC East.
The AFC East has a tough matchup as well, as the Chargers should be heavily favored to defeat the Dolphins.
The NFC East has a good chance of winning both of its games this weekend, as they look to recover from their first non-divisional loss of the season last week.
