WWE: Weekly Awards Results

Tom HarveyJun 3, 2018

This is the first set of results for my weekly WWE awards show, and it was a success.

I got a few of you voting, and hopefully more will this week. I'm behind schedule on this slideshow, but the results are finally in. I have tallied up the votes, and now you get to see who the B/R wrestling community voted for in last weeks awards.

Lets get cracking!

Match of the Week!

1 of 10
Dolph hitting Morrison with the Zig-Zag
Dolph hitting Morrison with the Zig-Zag

John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler: 8 Votes
Drew McIntyre vs Rey Mysterio: 8 Votes
Chris Masters vs Tyler Reks: 5 Votes
Darren Young vs Jacob Novaks: 0 Votes

My Choice: Chris Master vs Tyler Reks

Your Choice: John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler, & Drew McIntyre vs Rey Mysterio

The first award this week and it's a tie! My choice of which match was the best came up short this week in quite a close vote. Out of these two matches, I preferred John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler, so this weeks winner with the tiebreaker vote is John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler (RAW).

Disappointment of the Week!

2 of 10
Sheamus throwing Bryan across the ring

Christian's first match back is against.. Brodus Clay?!: 1 Vote
Daniel Bryan beats Sheamus in a quick match via count-out: 8 Votes
Vickie Guerrero will be wrestling for her career: 6 Votes
Edge and Christian Reunite.. but it's just not the same: 6 Votes

My Choice: E&C Reunite

Your Choice: Daniel Bryan beats Sheamus in a quick match via count-out

This was a terrible thing to do, especially as they should have wanted it to seem like Sheamus was a threat. I understand why they did it, making it seem more likely that Sheamus would lose both the match and his job, but it was still a disappointment that it happened so early in the match, so it seemed almost definite Sheamus wouldn't win.

Anyway, your winner for the Disappointment of the Week is Daniel Bryan beats Sheamus in a quick match via count-out.

Shocker of the Week!

3 of 10

The Miz comes out of nowhere and attacks Cena: 2 Votes
Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler return to WWE on RAW: 2 Votes
SCSA becomes the Special Guest Ref of Lawler vs Cole: 17 Votes
Triple H vs The Undertaker will be No Holds Barred: 0 Votes
Divas allow Cole to interrupt them without kicking his ass (Voter's Choice): 1 Vote

My Choice: SCSA becomes the Special Guest Ref of Lawler vs Cole

Your Choice: SCSA becomes the Special Guest Ref of Lawler vs Cole

I called it people, I called it. Stone Cold becoming the guest ref was a great moment on RAW, and I, as a fan who missed the attitude era, loved it so much. Just that small taste of the attitude era was just what the fans wanted when they heard Stone Cold would be on RAW.

Last time he was on, there were no stunners and little/no beer. This time, the WWE writers did it right, and that's why your shocker of the week for last week is SCSA becoming SGR of Lawler vs Cole.

Promo of the Week!

4 of 10

Undertaker declares No Holds Barred: 2 Votes
Michael Cole announces JBL as the Special Guest Ref: 6 Votes
The Miz comes out of nowhere to attack Cena and mock The Rock: 8 Votes
Lucky Cannon grows a backbone: 3 Votes
John Cena tells Miz he shouldn't have messed with him: 1 Vote
Triple H accepts the NHB stipulation: 1 Vote

My Choice: The Miz comes out of nowhere to attack Cena and mock The Rock

Your Choice: The Miz come out of nowhere to attack Cena and mock The Rock

Again, I called it. It was getting close between Cole & JBL and The Miz, but in the end Miz won it. I loved every second of this promo and it really showed Miz' talents, and showed us why he's WWE Champ. And this is why your Promo of the Week is The Miz.

Superstar of the Week!

5 of 10

Randy Orton: 2 Votes
Christian: 6 Votes
CM Punk: 1 Vote
The Miz: 5 Votes
Cody Rhodes: 6 Votes
Edge: 1 Vote

My Choice: The Miz

Your Choice: Christian and Cody Rhodes

Another tie, and it's up to me to decide. I'll go with the star who has returned to the ring, teamed with his best friend and won both his matches.

That's right, your Superstar of the Week is Christian.

Worst Superstar of the Week!

6 of 10

Alberto Del Rio: 0 Votes
David Otunga: 8 Votes
Brodus Clay: 0 Votes
All the Divas: 2 Votes
Sheamus: 4 Votes
Tyson Kidd: 7 Votes

My Choice: Sheamus

Your Choice: David Otunga

This week was quite close for a lot of votes, but this one I found really interesting.

Otunga was way out in front, then suddenly it seemed like everyone was voting Kidd. However, he just couldn't catch up, which means you choice for the Worst Superstar of the Week after losing to a beaten down Orton is David Otunga.

Worst Match of the Week!

7 of 10

Eve vs Nikki Bella: 3 Votes
Christian vs Brodus Clay: 4 Votes
Mark Henry, Great Khali and Natalya vs Tyson Kidd, William Regal and Melina: 2 Votes
Layla vs Kaitlyn: 12 Votes

My Choice: Layla vs Kaitlyn

Your Choice: Layla vs Kaitlyn

It was just TERRIBLE. So here's your winner, if that, Layla vs Kaitlyn. Moving on!

Best Show!

8 of 10

RAW: 13 Votes
NXT: 1 Vote
Superstars: 1 Vote
SmackDown: 6 Votes

My Choice: RAW

Your Choice: RAW

I was a little surprised that NXT and Superstars both got a vote each. Not surprised however, that RAW won. It had the most to offer from all of the shows.

So your winner is RAW!

Worst Show!

9 of 10

RAW: 1 Vote
NXT: 9 Votes
Superstars: 7 Votes
SmackDown: 4 Votes

My Choice: Undecided

Your Choice: NXT

So the WWE's D-show gets the vote for worst show, and, ironically, I reckon that not many of the people who voted for it had watched it. This was close for a while with Superstars and NXT trading blows, but in the end NXT is your Worst Show!
