Allsports Believes the NHL Rule Changes are a Step in the Right Direction

While looking for hockey sports news on the web. I came across this video explanation on the rule changes in the NHL. It is quite informative and gives examples on what will be a penalty on the icing issue, where faceoffs will take place on a penalty and where the face off will be if a puck goes into the crowd off the crossbar or post. Stephen Walkom (NHL director of officiating), Narrates the video, and allsports thinks it was pretty well done. I think the new icing rule change will help to protect the player’s more and the other changes are also a step in the right direction. I wrote an article on the icing issue back in May of 2008, which was similar to what the NHL has come up with.
