Brock Lesnar vs. Antonio Silva? Silva Open to the Idea

Sal DeRoseMar 15, 2011

Now that Zuffa (the parent company of the UFC) has purchased Strikeforce, many fans have speculated upon big cross-promotion fights.

One of the many, Brock Lesnar versus Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.

Bigfoot Silva is coming off of a huge TKO victory over legendary MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko last month.

Silva stunned the world when he dominated every inch of the cage and made the greatest of all-time look like a tiny rag doll.

Now, Silva could be headed to the UFC eventually after the purchase of Strikeforce by Zuffa.

"It’ll be very good, I’m looking forwards to know how it’ll be like," Silva said to TATAME.com

Silva already has an opponent in my mind if the two promotions were to merge today. Who would he like to fight for his debut in the Octagon?

"I’ve never had issues with anybody, I’ve always respected everybody, but as a professional I believe it’d be interesting fighting Brock Lesnar," Silva said.

"I don’t agree that Brock is the second on the ranking, it doesn’t make sense. This fight would be interesting so I put Brock on the place where he was supposed to be… It really doesn’t make any sense."

Ultimate Fighting Championship President, Dana White, has made it clear on multiple occasions that "It's business as usual," with the Strikeforce promotion.

He has denied the fact that Strikeforce fighters would switch to the UFC in his first interview with Ariel Helwani discussing the purchase of Strikeforce by Zuffa.
