WWE Wrestlemania 27: Breaking Down the John Cena vs. The Miz Match

WrestleMania 27 is now less than three weeks away, and one feud above all the others has been hogging the spotlight.

It's not John Cena vs. The Miz, or even The Undertaker vs. Triple H.  It's John Cena vs. The Rock, a feud that is not even leading up to a legitimate match, but more likely, just a confrontation between the two.

There is simply no way to talk about WrestleMania 27 without talking about The Rock, let alone talk about The Miz vs. John Cena without touching The Rock's involvement.

Aside from The Rock, the buildup to John Cena vs. The Miz has been nearly perfectly executed by WWE.  Most people on the Internet bash the WWE creative team at every chance they get.

Well, today I'm telling them they've done a great job—from involving The Rock to the Steel Cage Match to having The Miz decimate John Cena on this past episode of Monday Night Raw. 

While The Rock has been playing an extremely crucial and influential role in the John Cena vs. The Miz storyline, WWE has also managed not to lose The Miz in the Cena/Rock hype, which is impressive.  We are seeing just enough of Cena vs. The Miz, Cena vs. The Rock and The Rock vs. The Miz, and all of that is leading up to WrestleMania in three weeks.

At WrestleMania, we'll surely see The Rock a few times, and one of those times will be during, after or before the WWE championship match between John Cena and The Miz.  While The Rock has no official role in the match (yet), there is little doubt that he will come out and give the fans what they've been waiting over seven years to see: a Rock Bottom, a People's Elbow and all of the signature catchphrases.

Despite that, The Rock may not have any effect on the outcome of the WWE championship match.  He may come out after, before or during, but that does not mean The Rock will be the deciding factor of the match.

All of that said, who wins the WWE championship comes down to one thing: WWE is pushing The Miz as a main event talent, and he is not yet completely established as a main-eventer in WWE, even though he is rising very fast. 

Having The Miz defeat John Cena would be good booking, as it would solidify The Miz's place on the WWE roster.
