UFC 128: Fan Events for the Week Leading Up to Shogun vs. Jones

The week leading up to the Ultimate Fighting Championship's, UFC 128 is filled with fan events all over the city of New York.

UFC 128, taking place in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center, features a light heavyweight title showdown between Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Jon "Bones" Jones, with other fights containing big name fighters such as Urijah Faber and Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

The week kicks off with a UFC press conference at 12:30 p.m. at Radio City Music Hall. The press conference will feature UFC President Dana White and fighters, Shogun Rua, Jon Jones, Urijah Faber, Eddie Wineland, Nate Marquardt and Yoshihiro "Sexyama" Akiyama.

For St. Patrick's Day the UFC has planned a signing of "UFC Best of 2010" DVD featuring lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (a New Jersey native) and The Ultimate Fighter 1 runner-up, Stephan Bonnar.

Then one of the best fighters in UFC history, Chuck Liddell, will be a part of the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade with subway hero Joe Lozito at 11:30 a.m.

On Friday weigh-ins for UFC 128 will start at 4 p.m. at the AmeriHealth Pavilion at the Prudential Center and will be preceded by a Q&A with Chuck Liddell at 2 p.m.

Then on Saturday the event everyone will be waiting for, UFC 128, will begin with a UFC Tailgate Party from 3-7 p.m. outside the Prudential Center with fighters Brandon Vera, Chuck Liddell, UFC Bantamweight Champion, Dominick Cruz and Stephan Bonnar.

UFC 128 begins at 7 p.m. with the first undercard bout with doors beginning to open at 6 p.m.

UFC 128 "Fan Week" will be capped off with an MMA Seminar at Vitor Shaolin's Modern Martial Arts from 7-9 p.m. with UFC light heavyweight champion (Possibly the former champion) Shogun Rua next Tuesday, March 22nd.
