Holy S**t!: The Scariest Looking Fighters In MMA
Have you ever watched an MMA event and caught yourself saying "HOLY S**T, that guy is scary as hell." Yeah, so have I, that's why I have decided to bring all of those scary guys out of your closet and out from under your bed, and warn you to never find yourself alone in a dark alley with them.
Jeff "The Snowman" Monson
We start off with who I think is the scariest looking guy in all of MMA. He's that guy in the picture at the top of the page. Look up...now shake off the goosebumps and try to refocus. That's Jeff "The Snowman" Monson.

Just looking at him sends chills down your spine, that always mean looking face on that wrinkly head, not to mention the dozens of tattoos that cover his body. Oh, and he also fights pretty well too.
Jeff Monson is a 25-8 submission artist that loves to take guys down and make them cry uncle. He may only be 4-3 in his UFC career, but look at the guys he has fought. We're looking at Chuck Liddell (we'll get to him later), Ricco Rodriguez, and Tim Silvia. Did you ever think that a 5'9" guy would scare you so damn much?
Keith "The Dean of Mean" Jardine
From the very first second I saw him on TUF 2, I picked him to run away with the competition. Okay, I may have been wrong, but don't tell me you thought he was going to lose. I honestly can't even tell you why he scares everyone besides the fact that you don't mess with a guy with an anvil beard. Even his names screams tough guy. You won't see guys like Steve Carell rockin' nicknames like that, no, thats for the mean ones.
This guys fighting is almost as scary as his face. He might be the most erratic fighter in the world. He's 2-2 in his last 4 fights with wins over Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin, and losses to Houston Alexander and Wanderlai Silva. He has shown that he can knock you out, but he also shows that the beard he has is just a cover for a glass chin. Keith, if your reading this, I apologize, and please stop haunting my dreams.
Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva
When this guy is just playing around with his friends or doing late playful training, he looks like everyones friend Wandy. But when this guy is in the zone and ready to fight, well let me just say I don't even want to be the referee for fear that he'll kill me on his way to his opponent. He's probably the only guy in this article that can switch from friendly to deadly in every other google image. Seriously, check it out.
This guy used to be one of the most feared fighters in the wrold while fighting in Japan. This guy was such a tank that he took a fight with Mark Hunt on two days notice and went all the way before the judges gave Hunt the win by split decision. I think its safe to say about 90 percent of fighters would never do something like that.
He is one of only two guys to finish Rampage with strikes, and he's done it twice. Mr. Axe Murderer looked like his old elf in his last fight, lets hope that he's here to stay, and by stay I mean as far away from me as possible.
Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell
Okay, so his career is on ice, sorry for that, but he is still one scary mother shut-yo-mouth. The trademark mohawk with the Chinese characters tattooed on his skull are a household picture, and that is a scary thing. He is the only guy on this list that has fought all of the other guys on this list. That in itself is pretty scary.
At one point Chuck Liddell sat upon the MMA world as the king of the Light Heavyweight division. Every man that was sent into his kingdom he would swiftly knock unconscious and then continue to roar to the crowd. That was all until Rampage did the same thing to him. Since then Chuck hasn't been the same.
The MMA fan in everyone hopes he can rebound, and even though he scares the crap out of me, I want nothing more then to see him press the button one more time.
Renato "Babalu" Sobral
This is one scary looking guy. At no point have I seen a picture of him to tell me otherwise. He just looks like a zombie that wants everyones blood and won't stop until he does. Even when he's smiling he looks creepy. Sure, he may have eaten Chuck Lidell's foot, but that further proves my point that he's a zombie.
I just can't stand the fact that for all he's done in his MMA career, including submitting Shogun and Chael Sonnen, he will always be remembered for what he did to David Heath at UFC 74. He has fought the best in the world and never backs down from a fight, he is a bad ass in every sense of the word, which only adds to his scare factor.
