Who is the real #1- Alabama or Oklahoma?

The poles came out yesterday showing that Oklahoma is ranked number 1 in the BCS rankings, and Alabama number 2. But who really is more deserving of the #1 spot?

To me its The Alabama Crimson Tide, and I'll tell you why. The Oklahoma Sooners are a good team, yes, but the only reason they are ranked in the number 1 spot is because they were ranked high  in the pre-season poles.

Alabama was not, they unlike Oklahoma had to prove themselves. Their first game out Bama beat a supposedly good Clemson team soundly, holding the supposed best running combo in the country to 0 yards rushing, Clemson would have not had a point if it were not for a kick off return and field goal, no offense touchdown for the best team in the ACC? please

Then they went out and beat some lesser competition. After that they had to go to #3 Georgia in their "blackout" and wooped their tales, 31-0 in the first half alone. They crused the rest of the way holding Heisman candidiate Knowshawn Moreno to in the 20s rushing. Which is pretty bad for the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Oklahoma Sooners had to beaten a ranked #24 TCU team soundly. Lets think who had the better team, a SEC #3 Georgia Bulldog team or TCU? You do the math. Alabama deserves the #1 spot in the BCS pole. The computer didn't see the demolishing of the Bulldogs hey just saw the score of both teams.

They saw the rankings and did move Alabama up to #2 true, but since Oklahoma was already up in the higher ranks and USC lost and Florida lost why not put them at #1 according to the pollsters. Those idiots!

Why can't they see the SEC's competition is better? they should know, I mean Ohio State can speak for the SEC, being beat twice by the SEC once by  The Florida Gators two years ago, and last year the LSU Tigers. And I'm sure they will relize it this year when The Alabama Crimson Tide beats another Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, or any other conference team.

Some say its to soon to start talking National Title contendors, but for Alabama they were here a few years ago, in talks for the title, but fell short, with all the weapons they have, its impossible for them to let this one go.

I call them as I see them, and this Alabama team, is the best team in NCAA Division 1 Football. Just keep them off the Sports Illustrated Cover, until after the official crowning.
