Mel Kiper Jr. Criticizes Miami Dolphins QB Chad Henne
Chad Henne was considered one of the top five quarterbacks in the 2008 NFL draft.
The Dolphins selected him in the second round with the 57th pick, behind Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco and even Brian Brohm.
But according to ESPN NFL draft guru Mel Kiper Jr., speaking in a conference call on Wednesday (as reported by the Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly), Henne is still suffering from the same problems with accuracy as he did in college, which most likely caused him to slip so low in the draft.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
“I was saying the same thing about him at Michigan that I’m seeing now. I wasn’t as high on him as other people were. His career at Miami is the same as what we saw at Michigan,” Kiper said.
“He’s played a lot of games. [He] has shown a strong arm [as] a pocket guy with limited mobility."
“Henne made two or three throws every game that made you scratch your head because they weren’t on target. They were throws he should have been able to make.”
If you're a Miami Dolphins fan, then right now, as you read this, you're nodding your head in agreement with the man who has almost single-handedly turned the NFL draft into a major spring event.
Kiper then stated that the Dolphins need to decide whether they will stick with Henne this season or address a QB in free agency or in the first round of this year's draft, where he projects they will draft Heisman Trophy-winning running back Mark Ingram from Alabama.
But Kiper also states that, considering everything that happened during the offseason and the fact that Bill Parcells is no longer with the team, they might not have the time to let a young QB develop.
“If he’s not and you draft a quarterback, you’re going to have to wait a couple of years before he’s effective. Do you have years to wait if you’re that organization? I don’t think so.”
Of course, if you ask me, the Dolphins best bet with this regime is to either tank and clean house, or hope and pray a CBA doesn't get done, the season gets canceled and there's a draft lottery that they win.
That way, they could have a shot at Stanford's Andrew Luck.
This season though, the two best quarterbacks on the board are Missouri's Blaine Gabbert and Auburn's Cam Newton, but there's a slim chance that either will be on the board when it is the Dolphins' turn to draft.
