The Titans Are Playing Good Southern Ball

This division was suppose to be the most competitive in the NFL. Last year they included both wild card teams. Plus, every team was .500 or more in the regular season.

This season has gone less well for the division. Peyton Manning is in a whole different world and isn't what he was so far. They are a poor 1-3. The chance of them winning the division is smaller than most previous seasons.

The Houston Texans had high hopes after last years 8-8 season. Mario Williams was sacking more than anyone. With a young squad anything was possible. Coming into this season though, it didn't add together and now the team is 0-3. Their playoff dreams are drifting away.

The Jaguars are looking better then the Texans and Colts. At 2-2 the running game has been explosive behind Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor. Garrard is playing a solid game in the first games of the 2008 season. The defense is pretty ferocious but not the top team.

The Titans? They are good. Who cares about Vince Young. He wasn't ready to handle the franchise and he left for now. Jeff Fisher got his team to get around that. He got Kerry Collins to lead the team. With Collins heading the offense, the team has scored 24 points or more every game.

Johnson has been running well at a five yards per attempt average. With LenDale White running OK, the team has a ground attack. Meanwhile the offensive line has been outstanding. They have let Collins be sacked only once. They got power to help the running game burst through. With those guys helping, this offense isn't slowing down.In fact, the only thing that might slow them is a slowdown of Kerry Collins.We will see how that plays out.

Then we get to the defense. Oh my, these guys are good. They only allow 11.5 points again which is second in the NFL. Giving only a little more over 250 yards per gain, no one can bust them.

Defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth makes the defensive line explosive and because he gets double teamed, this makes someone open to get a sack. The big D already has a huge 15 sacks. Fisher knows how to run a defense and this is his best one yet.

I like this team and they are definitely playoff bound. They have a good chance at this division and we will see how they end when its all over.
