Dallas Cowboys, 2011 Draft: Nate Solder, Mike Pouncey, First Round Musts
Jerry Jones' intentions of shoring up the offensive line with the 2011 draft may begin with a trade.
Finding the right combination of picks needed to acquire two first round offensive linemen could begin with alleviating a crowded wide receiver rotation.
With Roy Williams almost a lock to remain in Dallas, and Dez Bryant a sensation in his rookie year in 2010, Miles Austin may be the trade fodder needed to garner the Cowboys the picks needed to shore up an aging offensive line. Arranging an extra pick in the first round of the 2011 draft is a very good place to start.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
By the second round, the Cowboys should be selecting secondary help. But it is in the first round that the Cowboys can do the most to help this team for the next ten years.
With two picks in the first round, the Cowboys could solve a lot of issues by selecting Nate Solder, a 6'8", 319lb monster offensive tackle from Colorado, and then selecting Mike Pouncey, the 6'5" 303 lb guard from the University of Florida.
By selecting Solder, the Cowboys would have an immediate long term solution for the issues with Marc Colombo. While Colombo has been an emotional leader for the Cowboys, injury issues for each of the past two years and a deteriorating level of play have left Tony Romo's right side exposed.
Solder's selection would allow the Cowboys to choose whether he or Doug Free remained at left tackle, while the other handled the right tackle spot. Doug Free has already been exceptional at both positions, and Solder shows the potential to be just as good or better than Free.
Solder was originally a blocking tight end, which is a testament to his mobility. His quickness allows him to have the advantage on defensive pass rushers and his size makes him a deadly force when he is moving forward in the run game. He is expected to be one of the top linemen in the 2011 draft, and is currently listed by CBS sports as the 17th overall selection.
And after Solder, the Cowboys should acquire Mike Pouncey, the twin brother of Steeler's lineman and the 18th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, Maurkice Pouncey. While Maurkice left school a year early to enter the draft, Mike Pouncey stayed at Florida.
Coming out of high school, it was Mike Pouncey who actually got the attention of Florida Gators scouts with his versatility. Pouncey has played both offensive and the defensive side of the ball, and should be a solid offensive lineman at all three of the interior line positons. Pouncey can play center as well as guard, and is a solid choice for any NFL team that chooses him.
Pouncey is quick off the snap and shows the ability to help the Cowboys regain their prowess in the run game with his ability to keep defenders away from the ball carrier. He is quick on his feet, and his ability to move has impressed scouts.
And the idea that the Steelers would have one twin, and the Cowboys would have the other is an irony that would make the most die-hard Cowboys fan cackle with intrigue.
Finding a way to select either of these two linemen will be a good way for Jerry Jones to ensure long term stability of the offensive line.
Finding a way to select them both, would be awesome.
That's the bottom line.
