Tom Brady: Is the Pats QB Losing Interest with Football?

Tony SantorsaMar 8, 2011

What is happening to Tom Brady

Ever since the Patriots star quarterback married supermodel Gisele Bundchen, Brady has hardly been showing up to any optional mini-camps. Is it a coincidence?

Prior to the 2010 season, Brady spent the entire offseason traveling the world with Bundchen, missing mini-camps and then shows up to Gillette Stadium with the "Justin Bieber" hairdo.

It doesn't end there, Brady ditched the "Bieber-do" and grew his hair out some more. Now, Brady has a ponytail? Yes, that's right.

Is it me, or does Brady look more like a futbol player rather than a football player?

But honestly, who cares?

Believe it or not, Brady's exotic offseason adventures with Bundchen, and his new "Hollywood lifestyle" has not affected Brady on the field whatsoever.

The 2010 season was arguably Brady's greatest season in his 11-year career.

Brady was brilliant, and hardly turned the ball over on his way to breaking an impressive NFL record throwing 335 passes without an interception. If that's not amazing, I don't know what is.

Along with his record, Brady finished the season with only four interceptions and 36 touchdown passes, scoring in at a 111.0 passer rating.

To some, Brady's lifestyle might be controversial, but his numbers don't lie.

Who really cares what Brady does in his offseason? Whether if he's spending time in Paris at a fashion show or spending time with his team, Brady has been competing at high level throughout his career.

However, Brady hasn't won a Super Bowl since the 2004-05 season, and some might speculate the future Hall of Fame quarterback is losing focus.

I mean, what Patriots' head coach Bill Belichick has said before is, "Stats are for losers."  And Belichick is spot on.

In order to shut up the critics, for the most part, Brady needs to lead the Pats back to the "promised land," and bring another Vince Lombardi Trophy back to New England.
